Compared to the TPLink AX50 (AX3000) $150, Netgear AX4300 $130, Netgear AX5200 $150, TPLink C4000 $100, I chose this because it has a triple core 1.5ghz processor, 256mb flash, 512gb ram, USB3.0, wall mountable, WPA3, and ASUS's long standing with reliable, performance routers. I noticed that none of the others list their specifications like ASUS did so my assumptions are these specs help it accomodate many more devices. My concerns are mostly with addressing the growing number of IoT / smart devices in my home (35+ and counting).

Considering I have Asus routers now, considering this to be the 'main' one and the other older AC routers to be the nodes.
Dong Knows puts this at the top of its price range in most tests for speed and range.

Beyond $150, you're gonna have to buy into the next tier of routers near $250-$300.
