Sold by Electronics Expo on Amazon. The lowest I've seen for this subwoofer. Note this is supposedly a much better subwoofer than the R-100SW that is also currently priced at $200.

Would you mind sharing the link? Because the 10" deal that they have are for inferior models
Ahh, I see that now. Good catch.

This one or spring for the R-112SW for $300 at Adorama. The R-110SW may only have a 10" woofer but it has a better frequency response than the R-120SW with it's 12" woofer, down to 27 Hz compared to 29 Hz. The R-120SW does have an output of 114 dB which beats the 112 dB output of the R-110SW. But speaking from personal experience, the R-120SW will start sounding distorted long before it reaches that volume.

I have Sony A8H. Will I need a receiver to use this subwoofer? I just want a subwoofer next to my chair to feel sounds (I'm deaf)

In general yes, though you could get around it with some work (mini/RCA -> line level converter -> low pass filter -> sub).

As an alternative, I recommend looking into bass shakers which strictly focus on infrasound.

Before I got a Klipsch R115SW I used to have Polk Audio and other 10-12" cheapo subwoofers. After hearing the difference, I would never buy anything less than a 15" again. I tried 2 12" Polks against the Klipsch 15" and the Klipsch blew them away. I like to cite the hotel scene in Logan when Xavier is having a seizure as a good subwoofer test. As you increase the volume the Polks start to clip but the Klipsch had no problem going to where my walls would shake. I have no idea how these 10" Klipsch ones would compare. Fortunately I don't need another subwoofer (until my Klipsch dies).

I'd recommend the Infinity R12 for $170 for the next 12 hours over the R-110 SW based on Sound and Vision's reviews (focusing on the sub ratings) and RMS ratings.

The Klipsch has a nice aesthetic though, depending on your taste.

They only like 500% more $ than these
Factor in the Klipsch dying and you losing your money or paying for amps out of pocket then come back with a better figure

I remember us talking about the Klipsch and my 4 x 115sw. I have sold 3, hopefully soon to be 4 and have gotten 2 x Monolith 15" THX. I liked my Klipsch but replaced many amps over the years and the last straw was (supposedly after 2nd amp revision model replacement) a bit after a year the sub started pulsing. I have put in a request for a new amp and I haven't heard back from Klipsch in weeks. I'm done with their powered subwoofers. I also own the SPL 120.

Thanks, haven't heard much from Infinity lately overall, but decided to plunge on the R12 at such a low price! Was about to get the Klipsch but specs seem better and reviews better as you noted. At $30 less, seems like something worth taking a chance on!

The price has gone up to $299 in the past few hours unfortunately. Would someone reply to the post if the price comes back down to $199 please? Thanks in advance!
