and this brand/product was the only one I found on Amazon that had a ton of good reviews, reputable seller, and great price

I agree it seems low risk for $4ish

I had a different color saved to one of my Amazon lists and was still showing the $7.99 price tag ... happened to click on it to see if there was any coupons/offers on the product page being that it's BF/CM weekend but didn't see any ... then I looked through the 39 other colors available just for fun and saw the black color was far lower priced than the rest (seller probably has more stock of that over the other colors)

On my non-prime account, its still showing me $5.99. Though shows $3.77 on the prime account.

No No No Not getting this again. I loved it for first 2 weeks. Then the cover got stretched eventually and won't stick. Not durable at all!

I have one of these
They are a short term solution. Don't expect any real longevity out of these. I ended up getting a Nomad case with a lanyard.

because with any wireless earbuds, the case is actually a mini power bank so a case/cover will help it from getting damaged over time if you keep dropping it which is very easy to do in particular with the original AirPods case

Own your scratches and dings. The lifespan of this product is not long enough to protect it with additional cases and skins. Chances are battery will be dead way before you need to replace a scratched up case.
