For me, I really like the Kiwi knives I find on Amazon. They have a wood handle, super sharp, incredibly cheap. I just toss them after 5 years or so.
I've been using one of the knives daily as my main knife and it works great. Very sharp and nope, I haven't noticed any paint or color coming off. It looks as good as new.
I've been using the knife to cut everything from fruit and vegetables to thick steaks and it works good in my opinion.
I like these knives, they were nice and colorful and I've been happy with how they perform and the price was of course nice too.
