Last year's processor, but a 2060. Still doesn't seem great compared to other options right now.
Intel 10th gen CPUs have identical performance to 9th gen. Look at lots of benchmarks on YouTube - they are indistinguishable. And 2060 card in this laptop is not castrated - it has full wattage available and can compete with 2070 Max Q cards. This is a great deal.
That actually happened and it was out of stock in 5 mins lol
Why? Unless you do a lot of 4k video editing, you would not notice any difference in performance. Single thread performance in Intel CPUs is in fact faster then Ryzen and games also perform slightly better with Intel. The only real benefit of Ryzen chips in this generation is lower wattage and therefore cooler running laptop. A simple undervaluing of Intel CPUs can get you the same power envelope.

Except that there have been several comparable spec (with 2060s) for $700 and $800 (Acer Nitro 5 and Gateway) recently. Lenovo is a bit nicer, but not $150 - $250 nicer.

Show me any (old) link with 2060 card for $700. I dare you.
I picked one of those up but sold it to my sister since it didn't support DisplayPort through usb c. There have been a few others at $750 and $800 with 2060s.

Good deal that was, but it had i5 Intel processor. About 15% performance hit in games compared to i7.
