What is the best 65 inch tv just for watching Netflix and stuff around 800$? Not going to use for games. Leaning towards samsung r9000
Someone mentioned the hisense H9G. I just got one from best buy and returned it because of the red ghosting issue. You can search if you want to find more. It's a panel lottery and I didn't win. if you win it's a great value.
Something weird is going on with Samsung. Every year their top of the line seems to go down a line. So a Q7 series back in the day was rather good but now has a number of issues. Same with their UHD TVs. I compared the one I purchased 3 years ago on Rtings to the newest one and was surprised how downgraded the same model line is now.

Are samsung qleds worth the price
Eh. I'd be torn on this. No local dimming and being edge lit and mediocre peak brightness of puts this in a meh range for me. At this price, it's around $100 more and you get the Vizio OLED or the Sony X900.
For $150 less, you get the TCL 55R635 that has a 120Hz screen, local dimming, and VRR, but only HDMI 2.0. For 320 less, you get the Vizio M7 that has a 60Hz screen, local dimming, HDMI 2.1, and VRR.
It's kind of sitting in this middle zone without the FALD where it will probably work well for a well lit room, but wouldn't be the best for darker environments.
