No charger included, in case u were thinking of upgrading from older 12 volt system.

I already have a DeWalt 20v compact drill so this is a good addition. The battery itself is worth ~$70 I think.

Drill + 5A 20V battery combo $100 https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../312046328

Drill goes for ~$61 and Impact goes for ~$66 on eBay, so after fees and shipping, the battery would cost $50-60. I need the battery but already have both tools so not sure if this is worth it for me. Really great price though, thanks OP.

All my 12v tools came with a 20v/12v dual purpose charger. I have never seen a 12v only Dewalt charger. Is that a thing?

I've gotten by mostly with a standard Dewalt drill over the last ten years or so of homeownership. I'm only now looking at impact drivers. Only other power tool I regularly use is an impact wrench to work on my vehicles. Other than that, standard drill has done the vast majority of everything I've ever needed.

I bought this recently and I think it's overkill. Plus Bosch tool universe is fairly small.

I did this for years too. But after getting an impact driver 5 years ago, i love it and use it for most jobs instead of my drill. It definitely has advantages over a regular drill

Yeah, that's probably very much overkill for normal household needs. If you're drilling through brick, you're all good to go. If you're hanging a picture, this is way overkill. 3/4" drill is extremely large too. My impact wrench for vehicle repairs is only 1/2" and that's suitable for lug nuts and tough bolts.
