How does this compare to the Aukey version? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for the link, with the 30% discount on this one I might grab this since I'm just looking for 1 that I can just always leave plugged in behind a nightstand. I had previously purchased the PoweraArc (Spigen brand) because it had folding prongs to make it easier to pack if traveling.

I know Anker is considered better than Aukey on SD here but I haven't really had any issues with the few Aukey things I own.

Can anyone tell me the diff between these two. PowerArc for iPhone 12 Charger, 20W GaN Super Mini Type C Charger USB C PD Fast Charger Wall Adapter Foldable Plug Power Delivery for iPhone 12 Pro Max 12 Mini MagSafe Charger 11 SE 2020 X XR XS iPad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F9C8...UTF8&psc=1
This is only one charger (as someone already mentioned) but the one you linked also has folding prongs. I purchased the one you linked here a few days ago with the 30% off coupon clipped because I liked the folding prongs feature.

Not try to tc but just FYI 18w with usb-c to lighting charging cord $10 at Costco ymmv.
Is that an Anker branded one? I'd like to see if they have it at my local Costco but need to know what to look for.

I know Apple says you need 20W for iPhone 12 for fast charging but various websites had noted that 18W chargers do almost the same thing, it maybe takes a few more minutes to get to 50% battery compared to 20W charger.

Honest question: how is it better than this one for $10 (other than brand name)

USB C Charger, PD 20W USB-C Power Adapter Compatible with iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max,i Phone 11, 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPad Pro, Pixel, Galaxy Note 10/ Note 20/ S20(2 Packs) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07RR...UTF8&psc=1
Would you cheap out for a few bucks on a charger for a phone that could be near $1000?

From a brand new seller Homace and brand name Auorld

with business name and address : (obviously it was a chinese lettering copy paste job)

Almost certainly guaranteed it's not USB-IF compliant.

Do not get Aukey, they are total crap, my Aukey USB cable broke at the port A, when I tried to plug it into the socket, the cable itself is as thick as a 12 AWG but the connection near the connectors is very weak.
Agreed that Aukey cables have historically been crappy as hell, but most of the rest of their product line has been fine and more recent cables seem to be getting fewer complaints.

^^^ This ^^^ ... I've seen similar comments here before and since then lean towards better brand cuz the phones we've are $1k which we don't realize cuz it's paid as part of monthly phone payment plan.

Ok thanks for doing the research. Will not buy these but looks like they are technically the same except the brand.

Can confirm this is not true now. After much research found the following:

"PowerIQ 3.0 is Anker's version of Quick Charge 4+. Both combine USB PD and Quick Charge 3.0 (or PowerIQ 2.0 in Anker's case) on the same USB-C port. PowerIQ 2.0 (the tech on the USB-A ports of these chargers) is Anker's version of Quick Charge 3.0. Anker's tech is mimicking Qualcomm's tech. So for the most part it is cross-compatible with Quick Charge and other similar fast charging standards."

TL;DR: PD is part of the plug.

The most important thing to note is that this plug does 9v 2.22a. This is important if you are using a magsafe charger as it would not charge at the full 15W otherwise. I just found this out reading reviews this am. This plug is fully capable of this. But if you say for a 96W apple charger with PD, even that won't give you the full 15W speed through magsafe. How crazy is that?!
Well, when it comes to charging my $1k+ devices, I'd rather use a Qualcomm-certified PD charger rather than something trying to mimic it.

For me personally, the benefit of PowerIQ is the wide support of charging protocols

With a normal USB PD charger, it will not fast charge older devices (that don't support USB PD)
