Thanks for the link, with the 30% discount on this one I might grab this since I'm just looking for 1 that I can just always leave plugged in behind a nightstand. I had previously purchased the PoweraArc (Spigen brand) because it had folding prongs to make it easier to pack if traveling.

I know Anker is considered better than Aukey on SD here but I haven't really had any issues with the few Aukey things I own.

This is only one charger (as someone already mentioned) but the one you linked also has folding prongs. I purchased the one you linked here a few days ago with the 30% off coupon clipped because I liked the folding prongs feature.

Agreed that Aukey cables have historically been crappy as hell, but most of the rest of their product line has been fine and more recent cables seem to be getting fewer complaints.

^^^ This ^^^ ... I've seen similar comments here before and since then lean towards better brand cuz the phones we've are $1k which we don't realize cuz it's paid as part of monthly phone payment plan.

TL;DR: PD is part of the plug.

The most important thing to note is that this plug does 9v 2.22a. This is important if you are using a magsafe charger as it would not charge at the full 15W otherwise. I just found this out reading reviews this am. This plug is fully capable of this. But if you say for a 96W apple charger with PD, even that won't give you the full 15W speed through magsafe. How crazy is that?!

Well, when it comes to charging my $1k+ devices, I'd rather use a Qualcomm-certified PD charger rather than something trying to mimic it.

For me personally, the benefit of PowerIQ is the wide support of charging protocols

With a normal USB PD charger, it will not fast charge older devices (that don't support USB PD)
