250 nits is the brightness. It will look dim when viewed in bright environments like outdoors in the sun. I cannot speak for color reproduction on this model. Good luck!

Is this the same deal that was $349.99 plus $40 for the IPS screen on the hP blackfriday deal that has expired now?
Almost. If you had customized that deal with these specs (screen, RAM, SSD), it would have come to $547. But you could have gotten a backlit keyboard included with that deal but not this one.

It would be slicker to buy that deal at $390 with screen upgrade alone and upgrade the rest yourself. It costs only $130 extra ($520 total) even using Samsung SSD which will outperform HP stock, and you'll still have the original RAM and SSD that you can sell. Anyway, since that's all a moot point now; yes, this is a good deal.

It's upto you. If you cancel you will lose backlit keyboard, wifi 6 and color (if different from silver) for 50$ less.

Dell inspiron with Intel 11th generation i7 with 8gb RAM and 256gb ssd is on sale for 549$ now. Even though AMD processor edges out better but those looking for Intel it's a good price. Also HP laptop is plastic and Dell is aluminum.
R@ku10 has 15% cashback now on Dell.
Well, you forgot to mention 512GB vs 256GB of SSD and 16GB vs 8GB RAM. I cancelled the Dell for this one. If all you care is the aluminum body (which is not entirely true, it's not MacBook-type aluminum), then go with the Dell. To me this is a much better specs for the price.

The integrated Vega graphics will run Fortnite at 1080p low settings between 50-60 FPS.

You can get a consistent 60 FPS at 720p and medium settings.

Not sure. May be when SD Frontpage mods were editing the deal while converting it to FP, they did it by mistake and then corrected.

I agree that this is better deal compared with dell. But personally I don't like to spend 600$ on laptop without backlit keyboard.
I really don't care much between 256gb vs 512gb. If you spend $25+ you can add another 8gb ram in Dell to make it 16gb. I like the quality of Dell compared to HP. I bought the Hp 10th gen i5 laptop from Quill and I noticed fan noise if I run couple of programs. I have another HP all in one and I notice the fan noise. It is a common complaint on HP devices.

Well, if you like Dell then go with it. I just comment based on value for the bucks. If you have to customize Dell to catch up with the specs then you have to pay more, so take that final price and compare to this one for a fair comparison.

I agree with the backlit keyboard, it's kind of annoying but not a deal breaker for some people. Unless you don't use an external keyboard and constantly use the laptop in the dark, it shouldn't be an issue.

Fan noise, hard to say. Depends on a lot of factors. Dell has bad reputation on thermal too. They both do.

Edit: I got this for $585 shipped in California with 13% cashback from Be Frugal
