I've never played a Yakuza game before but I was surprised at how much there is to do in this game. It's got It's own Kart racing game and several arcades which feature Virtua Fighter 2 and 5 arcade ports, along with Space Harrier and a few others. There's a business simulator complete with staffing, investing, and shareholder battles. There's a golf mini game and a batting mini game. Ect., ect.
I love it, but if I were to gripe I'd complain that there are a ton of cutscenes and the combat is kind of repetitive, despite the numerous "jobs" (classes, like a mage) you can assign your party members. Each job with it's own weapon sets and skills (spells). And then there's the system of FF like summons, and blah blah blah. You get the point. Lol.
At $35, I'd definitely recommend this. If you hated FF XV though, you probably won't like this.

Anyway, I have this on Xbox and was weary of the turn-based RPG style as well, but it works. It's so fast paced that you may end battles even quicker than you would in the usual beat em up Yakuza. I'm a few hours in and the story has been great, feels like a genuine yakuza game.
