Just in case anyone else is/was as curious as I was:

It's a belt/bag/strap clip that will mount a lens on either side of it for quick removal/retrieval when switching between lenses regularly. Cool design. One-handed operation. Seems sturdy and reliable.

Currently $65 at Amazon. CCC says lowest price for new was $51.65 on Jul 23, 2020.

Edited for more information:

Manufacturer Note: Lens Kit still exists in all it's glory, but CaptureLENS has been discontinued. In it's place, you can buy Capture (Clip-Only) + Lens Kit.

We do not currently plan on making CaptureLENS and Lens Kit compatible with additional lens types. While we have no current plans of supporting more lens types in the future, that could change as we get more customer feedback.

CAN I USE ADAPTERS TO CARRY OTHER LENS TYPES?
In theory, yes, you can use lens mount adapters to make CaptureLENS and Lens Kit fit any type of lens, but that would be expensive (you'd need 2 adapters to get full functionality out of it) and less ergonomic (your lenses would stick out another 2-5 cm from the clip).

Nice! Thanks ZhangZ5375. This item will resolve one of my pet peeves. The annoyance of swapping out the lense in my bag constantly. Nice Christmas gift for myself.

Dumb question: as a non camera pro, one handed swaps of expensive lenses on the fly makes me sweaty just thinking about it. Does anybody use safety leads on their equipment, or is it just that if you needed them you wouldn't be doing one handed lens swaps on the fly? Or am I overthinking things again.

I have no use for this but damn this comes with the clip. The clip alone is worth more than $40. This is SLICK!

As a hobbyist photographer who bought this the last time it was on SD, I have to say, the capture clip is amazing. It's super convenient to clip my camera to my backpack shoulder strap when hiking, so much faster and convenient to grab my camera right away.

The lens mount is much less handy but I think that's because I have large zooms, f2.8 and they're just unwieldy. I feel the weight and size of the zooms is what makes these awkward to clip to either a backpack strap or my belt.

IMO if you are a prime lens shooter then these would be much more practical since those tend to be smaller and lighter.

But for reals, shooting is so much easier with the capture clip and for this price it's pretty worth it for the clip alone.

PPS: I own these kits in both sony and canon and feel similarly about both. The Sony capture lens I probably will use more if I acquire more primes being Sony is smaller/lighter everything

This is why we keep insurance. I've been lucky with only one drop that caused major damage in 7 years of it.

It seems to get to this price every somewhat months. It is totally worth it at this price. I don't like to put the clip on my belt when carrying long lenses...if you kneel it may hit the ground. I put it on my backpack strap and can carry 2 extra lenses and change very easily.

you need an additional camera plate to mount your camera to the clip.

Figured I'd put my two cents in. I bought this used for around this price on ebay and it's worth every penny. Its super convenient and once you get it down, very quick to swap lens. I take it everywhere with me because I can never decide between zoom and wide angle....
