Microsoft Desktop 900 keyboard and mouse kit is on sale again in Staples. Shipping is free.
I used this set in the office and it is a decent basic set. Batteries lasted me for over 6 month. The keyboard is slim so typing feels like using a laptop.
Two cons I noted are a lack of led light indicating caps lock and no space between the main keys and num pad.

Definitely worth it. I've been using a Microsoft keyboard without issue for the last 8-or-so years, these things really last

My local staples honored this deal in store for me. Not sure if all stores would do this or just mine. Either way love this keyboard!

Might be worth it just for the keyboard, but I don't want to use a mouse that doesn't at least have a back button.

Maybe it's just me but I had to return this keyboard because my space bar would always get stuck every other time I press it. Seems to be a common complaint among user reviews. That and the backspace button is a bit small for my liking.

Definatey you on space bar stuck issue. And I agree that backspace too small for any good usage. I do programming a lot and I keep pressing insert rather than backspace and that throws me off like insert again the backspace. One other big issue is keyboard not having switch button to avoid draining battery like you computer is off and keyboard is still looking for plugged device and active all the time

Is this mouse considered a full-sized mouse?? I have an old Microsoft mouse that's 5" in length. I'm currently using an old Microsoft corded mouse and an old Logitech corded keyboard.
