What are folks thoughts about using this outside? This is the right price for a yard ornament tree..

I have this one up in my living room now. For the price, I think it's fantastic. I spread out all the branches all the way and it covers it pretty well. Any other holes are easily filled with ornaments anyway. Unless you put this tree next to a backlit window, I don't think most people will have any problems making it solid. Also, I like the option to switch between color and white LEDs.
Agreed, I got the Home Depot tree as well and while it took some additional effort and $50 worth of decorations from Hobby Lobby it now looks quite good for the price. It would have been two or three times the price for a tree that was significantly more visually impressive (I have been shopping and viewing demos in store for the past 3 weeks or so) and am happy with the HD tree purchase.

The HD tree has 750 tips, vs the 600 on this tree. I think that goes a long way to making it look fuller, more important to me than the extra 50 lights and giving up the LED and multiple colors/modes.

That is actually a good question. Outside would be kind of cool...but no idea if it is rated for cold temps. I would like to do that.

Really debating this but the comments have me worried. Was looking for a tree for our front picture window that would not have ornaments, more of a big decoration. Sounds like this will be a bit sparse.

Looks like I'll have to wait until the normal 50% - 75% off after holidays sale at Home Depot and pick up something.

I bought the Home Depot one 2 weeks ago and have so far been impressed for the price. If you spend the time to really fluff out the branches and put ornaments strategically you really don't see too many holes. However, I do have it against a wall so the holes may be more noticeable in front of a window. Plus it has LEDs so I'd say its better than this tree from Walmart.

Do not buy. I bought one and found out that there is no place to put the water for the tree.

I bought the Home Depot version of this. First box, bottom lights not working. Second one after one day leaned and broke off because it has a plastic stand. So IMO don't buy this. Hope it helps someone.

Use your head for a change. I agree those spec doesn't say much. Better see it in person and JUDGE for myself.

Look like these are not LEDs. Those old lights really consume a lot. Mine run close to 200 watt. Plug in a string of LED light and the number didn't change much but a lot brighter. I think that LED string light is 30watt. I don't like the look of LED light much, I prefer the LED called fairy lights more. If only they make a pre-lit tree with those fairy lights that would be PERFECT.
Thank you for the light perspective. I havnt had a tree or anything up for Christmas in over 10 years. This may be the year!

I purchased this before it was frontpage. It is currently set up in my living room.

For 40 delivered to your door you can't complain with realistic expectations.

I just wanted a tree for my 1 year old son.

Well, if there are other options in this price range, it's okay to be critical. I do agree that at this price range you can't expect to have the same quality as the $100+ Christmas trees.

Thats because it's a new model; you just pour water on the top and let it absorb on the way down.

How big is the box? Will it fit in a normal sedan?
Very small. It fit into my compact BMW trunk as I picked mine today
