For those wondering, I reached out to TCL USA Support asking if my older-model 55R615 would support sending Dolby Atmos to the TCL Alto 8i and was told no. But to my surprise, it says it's receiving Dolby Atmos streams from Roku apps that stream it.

I've been using a Samsung soundbar that has been great, but it doesn't pair wireless with my TV because TCL has bluetooth locked into their own ecosystem. My house has a plant shelf above my tv that is perfect for a sound bar but I didn't want to have wires coming up from the TV. The one downside to this soundbar is that it's pretty new so there aren't too many reviews on it just yet.
Will pickup tomorrow before work so I can report back on my thoughts since it looks like this deal will be available for a bit
