I don't even wear a mask at my gym. Just walk in do my workout and walk out. 90% of the people I see at the gym don't wear masks, and yes my state does have mandatory masks inside businesses.
I googled "24 hour fitness costco membership"

I just for kicks went on their site, but our club isn't participating in your deal at all. AND they require your bank info for any plan.
It should be enough that they make money based on the number of folks who pay for upgrades, and those who go only now and then. I wish they all were like yours.
Much harder to get your money back after they take it, or simply refuse to stop taking it, and give you some double-talk about their policies different than their promises. I know it is our job to read contracts, but when they blatantly lie to you upfront, it is a scam. Maybe use a secondary account that you can easily do without and close when you quit. I wouldn't be shocked if they put your account into collections though. I am the one who would take them to court, but many are just going to take their final lumps to get out.
Folks, if you cannot use cash or prepaid/debit/credit cards like this person does, you have been warned. My experience is not a one-off.
