First of all, mAh is not a measurement of energy capacity. It is simply the total amount of current that can be delivered at the rated voltage of the battery pack. My MacBook has a 4382 mAh battery however it can store as much energy as a 13,000 mAh power bank because of the 3x difference in voltage. So that's the primary reason why that reviewer I was criticizing was wrong.

The other reason is simply efficiency loss during charging which is what I think you're primary talking about. Like it or not, ALL battery packs are measured at the total current delivery capacity of the batteries, not the final result. The primary reason for this is probably because it's easy and it lets you advertise the largest number. However, a very good reason this is important is because different devices have different efficiencies. Some devices might only be able to "extract" 50% of the energy of a battery pack while others charging at different voltages with different cables might be able to "extract" 75% of the energy. It's kind of like gas stations charging you gasoline per gallon instead of miles. They have no idea what kind of car you're putting the gasoline in. So it makes more sense to just charge you by the gallon instead of by mile.

Not that I'm flying anytime soon, and considering that I got the same capacity as the OP version PLUS the digital display instead of the rudimentary 4-dot fuel gauge for the same price as the original deal I seem to have come out ahead on all counts. But still, I wanted the smaller 100WH version. Oh well, whatcha gonna do?

Based on the accusatory feedback, I am starting to regret having shared that alternate deal altogether. Perhaps you should just add me to your ignore list so you wont be bothered by my attempts to help you and others find bargains.

Its not a 35% coupon, like the lower capacity digital display version had several days ago, and it's not the 25% coupon that this version itself used to have.... but nonetheless there IS indeed a coupon there right now, in case it disappears or if you or others want to imply that one was never there.
