Georgia lawyer said he kicked in Pelosi's door, she could've been 'torn into little pieces'

A Georgia lawyer boasted that he and fellow rioters "kicked in Nancy Pelosi's office door" and the House speaker dodged being "torn into little pieces," according to a criminal complaint.

William McCall Calhoun Jr., an attorney from Americus, Georgia, has been charged with entering a restricted building, violent or disorderly conduct and obstructing official proceedings of government, according to an FBI affidavit seeking his arrest.

The FBI's National Threat operation Center received a tip that Calhoun documented — in words and video on social media — his role in the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol Building, according to the affidavit.
...
Calhoun said the "mob" searched through Pelosi's "inner sanctum," according to his Facebook post cited in the affidavit.

"And get this - the first of us who got upstairs kicked in Nancy Pelosi's office door and pushed down the hall towards her inner sanctum, the mob howling with rage," Calhoun wrote, according to the FBI.

"Crazy Nancy probably would have been torn into little pieces but she was nowhere to be seen."
I don't think 10 years is enough for these deplorable people.

Though I look at the fact that even before covid more than 40% of American households could not afford an unexpected $400 expense as offering us a glimpse into the 'demand crisis' we've been in for awhile. The statistics on how many are living paycheck to paycheck would likely run deep into the middle and upper middle class. It becomes harder and harder to grow the economy when the people can't afford to spend beyond basic necessities. Worse still, when people have to go into debt to make ends meet the debt service itself turns into an ongoing and increasing drain on economic growth.
I agree that this is a problem, but do you not think that some of the cause for that alarming statistic is the fact that people ARE spending way beyond their basic necessities. That's why you see those inflammatory opeds like "why 500k is scraping by [financialsamurai.com]." It's an issue because of the burden it will put on the economy and health care system in the long term...but I see it through the lens of a money management crisis.

Not sure if they said the truth about DT supporters, but the following report seems to be truthful about the majority. At least, I can say that, DT final great accomplishment in my book, is to flush out the extremists and arrested them.

The 53-year-old from Freeport, N.Y., joins scores of others who have been charged with breaching the Capitol earlier this month. Similar to Fee, many alleged rioters have openly bragged about their exploits to friends and on social media, making it easier for federal agents to track them down and connect them to the insurrection.

Gracyn Courtright, a senior at the University of Kentucky, allegedly posted videos of herself roaming the Capitol and wrote on Instagram that she thought storming the Capitol "was cool." Kevin Lyons of Chicago, who was arrested last week, shared an image of himself outside the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) with the caption, "WHOSE HOUSE? OUR HOUSE!" on Instagram.

President Obama was roasted for saying this exact same thing. One of the few things I ever agreed with him on regarding Obamacare. Unfortunately this one piece of legislation put my family in the position of having to make some hard financial choices and lifestyle changes as my insurance costs and deductibles tripled. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijQIJAK0NFA

Put a candidate before me that gives me the slightest bit of hope that my grandchildren will have at least the same opportunities that I have had and I'll think about it. The last 2 elections you haven't. Trump really didn't win in 2016 - Clinton beat herself. Biden didn't really win 2020 - Trump beat himself.
So, my siblings and myself are much better off then my parents but my parents seemed to have more? My wife's parents are much better off then us. So it all depends where you come from.

Biden was one of the few solid choices in the democratic party. I think he will try his best for the American People, unlike Trump.

But your problem (IMHO) goes back to Reganomics. Giving the largest tax breaks to the RICH and hope for a trickle down effect... this made the middle class bare the grunt of the taxes for America even though it was the RICH who were rich. Trump doubled down on this theory and caused the largest stock buy back program that we have ever seen and did not increase jobs anywhere close to what they predicted. The great economy that Trump got was due to Obama and Biden.

I hope for tax cuts for the middle class and tax hikes for the Rich but we have spent so much money that I don't think Biden will cut taxes for the middle class.

Bottom line, life is tough and if you want your kids to have a better life, they need to start saving and stop spending.

Probably just another Trump supporter. You keep telling TP how Trump got a huge minority vote, right?

yes he promised us, err, gaslighted us, into believing it would be double his 2016 black vote. but then never came back to own it or explain it or defend it or retract it.

par for the course.

I still think there are systemic issues that affect a large portion of the working public that put them in unnecessary financial strain, too.

And I believe obama felt the same way. since your "roasting" isn't cited, I cannot address your statement in greater detail

It's not binary

"It was absolutely my pleasure to crush a white nationalist insurrection, and we'll do it as many times as it takes,"

As McCaughey did so, another rioter "began violently ripping off Officer Hodges' gas mask, exposing Officer Hodges bloodied mouth," said the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.

Eric Munchel, Zip Tie Rioter, Had Arsenal at Home, Took Arms Stash to Capitol, FBI Says

Quote :
https://www.newsweek.com/eric-mun...ys-1563580

Eric Gavelek Munchel—the 30-year-old insurrectionist who was arrested on January 10 and charged with conspiracy after being pictured in viral videos wearing a tactical vest and carrying zip ties around the congressional chamber during the January 6 riot on the Capitol—stashed weapons before entering the building and also had a home arsenal which included numerous firearms, a sniper rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

"When Munchel entered the Capitol, he was dressed for combat: he wore combat boots, military fatigues, a tactical vest, gloves, and a gaiter that covered all of his face except for his eyes," a Department of Justice (DOJ) court filing submitted Wednesday said. In addition to his gear, Munchel also carried a taser and attached a red iPhone to the front of his tactical vest through which he recorded the day's events.

In his video of the day's insurrection, Munchel's mother Lisa Eisenhart told him, "We're going straight to federal prison if we go in there with weapons," to which he responded that he needed to "take my weapons off before I go in there." The couple then stowed their weapons in or near a tactical bag. Soon after, Munchel declared that he was about to take part in "treason" and announced he was "F-cking ready to f-ck shit up," the court filing alleges.
20 years sounds about right for these radical right terrorists.

Michigan man arrested for beating officer with hockey stick during Capitol riot

"A Michigan man has been arrested for beating a police officer with a hockey stick during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
...

Officials also reviewed a video from The New York Times that shows Foy aggressively swinging a hockey stick at an individual on the ground, which was taken during an attack on a law enforcement officer.

The agency also came across a YouTube video in which Foy is seen striking a group of Metropolitan Police officers assisting Capitol Police officers who were dragged into the crowd.
...

The arrest is one of more than 100 that have taken place as federal law enforcement seek to identify suspects in the deadly riot carried out by a mob of former President Trump's supporters. Dozens of police officers were also injured as a result of the riot."

That Trumpian "law and order" pledge really crashed and burned.
