This is likely for those of you who wanted a new iPhone SE on a cheap plan or as a WiFi device and missed the online Cricket deal for $50. I was kicking myself for missing it so I went on a hunt to find a similar deal.
Before I go into the details of this deal, the Cricket deal had the SE at $50 plus a required $60 plan purchase so $110 plus taxes and a required port-in of a new number. This deal is slightly more expensive after codes but only requires a $25 plan and no port-in so it balances out a bit.
At the moment, this is the best I could find for someone who wants/needs the phone now and can't do the current in-store Cricket deal, which is the same as the online deal.
Please note this phone is locked to Simple Mobile for 12 months but should be usable on other Tracfone family brands. If this is incorrect please let me know and I will edit this information.
The deal:
Go to shop.simplemobile.com and enter an email address for a 25% code when you see the pop up. It doesn't have to be the email you end up checking out with. If you don't get a pop up, open the site in a private/incognito window and that should work.
Wait a minute or two and you should get one (they're one time use).
Select the iPhone SE 64gb and the $25 plan. Make sure you choose the one time payment option for $199.
Enter your code and also enter code SM10OFF.
The price will now be $157.49 pre-tax for the phone and the plan.

The email code still successfully applies to my cart with the iPhone SE but even with 4 different promo codes, the price won't go lower than $194.99.
That being said, the same CB site I used is still offering 18% on purchases up to $200 and $10 bonus for new sign up as of now.
That means you'd get $45.09 total back in 30 days to your Venmo/PayPal/bank once the return window ends so your net price would be ~$150 plus tax after cb and discount codes.
Not as good as the previous $122 obviously but still not terrible if you really need the phone and don't mind waiting 30 days for the cb.
Ordered Saturday and havn't gotten a shipping notice yet.

Even though could use one I don't need it that's why I was hesitant but I should have bought it anyway then decided later. I doubt it will be that cheap again without a port in etc.

Though some people are reporting that they can't apply the email code to the iPhone while others are saying it worked so just a heads up before you go looking for it. I checked it out of curiosity but couldn't get it to work.
The OP there didn't mention any CB, but it should be either $30 or $21 TOtal dePending on which category applies (the phone price is straddling the line between $30 straight or 12%). Also, you can sell the total wireless airtime separately so if you have no intention of using it, you can get another ~$20 back on eBay.
Since you don't really need the phone it might not be worth the hassle but I figured I'd leave this info here in case anyone comes across the expired post and finds it useful.
So IOS 14.3 and RSIM (12, 14, or 15) works really well together. So well that RSIM soft unlocks the iphone (verified through Settings --> General --> About --> Carrier Lock: No SIM restrictions). RSIM can be removed after the soft unlock and you can freely change the SIM / carrier as well.
Do not abuse this. This is not for you to make an easy buck selling a soft unlocked phone to an unsuspecting buyer. This is for personal use only.
What you need:
1) Update IOS to 14.3. I tested RSIM 12 and 14 in IOS 13.7 and 14.2, all failures. IOS 14.3 worked immediately.
2) RSIM 12, 14, or 15. I got it working with my old RSIM 12 and 14, others used RSIM 15. Buy whichever off of ebay.
3) Original carrier SIM to program the RSIM
4) New carrier SIM for your own use
Which iphones will it unlock
1) Tested on Iphone SE (2020), Iphone SE (original), Iphone 7
2) May work on other Iphone models that are on IOS 14.3 since this is a software glitch
Programming the RSIM 12, 14, or 15
1) As long as the ICCID is active, you only need to program the RSIM once. So for example, if you have 2 locked iphones, you can program the RSIM once and reuse it to unlock both iphones. Once the ICCID expires, you will have to repeat this step to program a new ICCID.
2) Get your active ICCID from https://beta.unlockcode
3) Insert the RSIM with the original carrier SIM into an Iphone
4) Navigate to Settings --> Cellular --> SIM Applications --> Edit ICCID
5) Input the active ICCID, for example, 89014104279605338375
6) Save and ignore the success prompt, no need to reboot.
7) Your RSIM is now programmed with the active ICCID
8) Eject the RSIM and original carrier SIM
Soft Unlocking the Iphone
1) Make sure your Iphone is updated to IOS 14.3
2) Insert the RSIM with the new carrier's SIM into the locked Iphone
3) Iphone will immediately ask you to activate the phone. If it gives an error or nothing happens, you probably inserted the RSIM and SIM incorrectly.
4) Activate, wait a minute, and the phone will be soft unlocked.
5) You should have network service through your new carrier
6) Verify through Settings --> General --> About --> Carrier Lock
7) Optional: You can remove the RSIM now, it's no longer needed.
8) Optional: You can try other carriers SIM as well, they should all work, including the original carrier
Best Practices
1) Do not factory reset. Factory reset will lock the phone again.
2) Turn off Automatic Updates (Settings --> General --> Software Update --> Automatic Updates). Future updates may lock the phone. Best to wait until it's been tested by someone else before updating.
Do not abuse this. This is not for you to make an easy buck selling a soft unlocked phone to an unsuspecting buyer. This is for personal use only.
