SEE WIKI FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is likely for those of you who wanted a new iPhone SE on a cheap plan or as a WiFi device and missed the online Cricket deal for $50. I was kicking myself for missing it so I went on a hunt to find a similar deal.

Before I go into the details of this deal, the Cricket deal had the SE at $50 plus a required $60 plan purchase so $110 plus taxes and a required port-in of a new number. This deal is slightly more expensive after codes but only requires a $25 plan and no port-in so it balances out a bit.

At the moment, this is the best I could find for someone who wants/needs the phone now and can't do the current in-store Cricket deal, which is the same as the online deal.

Please note this phone is locked to Simple Mobile for 12 months but should be usable on other Tracfone family brands. If this is incorrect please let me know and I will edit this information.

The deal:

Go to shop.simplemobile.com and enter an email address for a 25% code when you see the pop up. It doesn't have to be the email you end up checking out with. If you don't get a pop up, open the site in a private/incognito window and that should work.

Wait a minute or two and you should get one (they're one time use).

Select the iPhone SE 64gb and the $25 plan. Make sure you choose the one time payment option for $199.

Enter your code and also enter code SM10OFF.

The price will now be $157.49 pre-tax for the phone and the plan.

ADDITIONAL INFO MOVED TO WIKI TO COMPLY WITH SD RULES

Update: as of 1/8/20, the red version is out of stock, black and white still available.

Edit: for anyone interested in the actual phone service as well, here are the details of the $25 plan:

Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Text, and Int'l Text
Unlimited Data: First 3GB at High Speed, then 2G*
Unlimited International Calling** to 69 Destinations (up to 20 unique numbers)
International Roaming†† available to 16 countries in Latin America
$10 International*** Calling Credit
Add a line with this plan for $20. You can add up to 4 additional lines.

Don't forget, you get a free year of Apple TV+. Some good shows on there. You have three months after first setting up your device to take advantage of your free year of Apple TV+. Apple TV+ is on Roku [roku.com], Fire TV, Xbox & PlayStation too.

ORIGINAL POST INFO:

Thank you to the mods for allowing me time to move this here instead of removing the post. If any further changes need to be made, please let me know so this post stays compliant.

Now, I know we can't specifically mention CB here on SD, so I will just say that I was able to get 18% (total of $35.20) back on this for signing up to a site, which you should be able to cash out very easily as soon as the 30 day return window ends. This includes a $10 bonus for new sign up so $25.20 on the purchase itself. To note, I also added code NYE21 to my simple mobile cart even though it didn't take off any additional money, just to have it on there since it was mentioned on the CB site.

This brings the net total down to $122.29 plus taxes, or $12.29 more than the cricket deal. I waited to post this until the CB was verified in my account, which only took a few hours from time of purchase.

There are a few steps involved to get the full discount, but I hope at least a few people get some use out of this. If mods want me to remove the end portion of this post, please let me know as I'm trying to not violate the rules here.

*If you have issues with getting the email pop-up to appear, it seems that it is at the bottom of the simplemobile.com website on any page but not the shop.simplemobile.com site, so you may want to try just simplemobile.com (and scroll down) if you're having issues even in a private/incognito window.

Ahh right, the other deal was from cricket, so i assume is deal is buy the phone + $25 plan for the first month, cancel plan and do the rsim trick?
Yea. Pretty much the same as cricket. I believe it was in one of those cricket threads that someone got it to work with verizon +rsim. If you are on desktop mode, go to the top right of the thread and click on 'search this thread'. Type verizon and it should be easy to find the person who mentioned that it worked

"Go to shop.simplemobile.com and enter an email address for a 25% code. It doesn't have to be the email you end up checking out with." I do not see anywhere on the web page posted https://shop.simplemobile.com/shop/en/simplemobile/new-year/sm-iphone-new-se2-64gb [simplemobile.com] where I could sign up for this 25% off - am I missing something obvious here?

Topcb only has spend $375 or more on a phone and get $30 back, is this the one you were talking about? The phone retails for 399 which is over 375, but thats before discount...would the cb work on it? I checked raku and tcb and wasn't able to find the 25.20 cb offer.

Just wanted to say that I did the Cricket deal in-store yesterday, because I had gotten tricked by one statement here that the online deal would also expire on 1/7, so I had missed the online deal. I'm still happy with how it went, because I got a phone where everything seems to work, and the display has a very good and even color. The in-store deal differed from the online deal in that in-store they charged a $25 activation fee and they charged tax on $399.99 instead of just the $49.99. With my local sales tax I ended up paying approx. $57 more than if I had gotten the online deal.

There's no spot on the page. When you go to simple mobile a popup offer you a chance to enter your email to received the 25% off coupon.

They charge tax regardless. You the customer pays the tax, not the company. Had to correct it for you

You mean they charge tax on $399 online as well? It did not look like that when I was trying it last time (without actually completing the order).

Wish I had gotten the Tracfone version a few weeks back since I'll be able to use the $ 20 1 year service to get it unlocked later. Also had ra ten 15% cb then.

Yup, I was charged tax at full price when I did the online order. It's in the terms. Only difference is the activation fee.
