I was reading the review. A lot complains claiming battery doesn't really last 6 months. Also motion detection only works in daytime. Doesn't really work well at night which i need the most. Can someone own this 2c pro comment . Thx

I feel like the spotlight feature on these 2C Pro models could wash out the night vision which you would want the correct exposure for. IIRC the light can be disabled in the app. Oddly enough the single 2C Pro add-on cameras remained more expensive while onsale at Best Buy compared to the Eufy Cam 2 Pro 2K which has the longer battery life. Got two Cam 2 Pro's and the battery-powered 2K video doorbell with homebase 2 for a total of $350 in December, this system and app works really well.

I have 2 pros, but I wish I had the 2c pros instead, 2c pro has all the features 2 pro has and more, it has a spotlight, could be handy at night. Also 2 pro has the charging port at the back which make certain 3rd party accessories a hassle to deal with.

And also honestly, why do you need the 2 pros in particular? Because of the battery life? For me, I will think of continuous charging solutions anyways so that I can just leave the cameras as they are and never have to climb up and down for charging them, but that is just me. I wish I had this deal instead of the 2 pro one that I got for $99.
Yes, the 2c and 2c pro have a "spotlight". However, it's not that bright. It's approximately 12 lumens @ 1 meter. While a cell phone flash is about 44 lumens @ 1 meter. Just wanted to set expectations. These models don't have antitheft alarms built into the cameras either unlike the other Eufy outdoor cameras. If you browse thru past threads, some folks have also reported less wifi range with the 2c model, but ofcourse YMMV based on placement.

If anyone wants a comparison of security options, one of my favorite Youtubers just did a review on over 100 camera systems:

https://youtu.be/eGRgZWb5zx0

He recommends these over anything else.

In for 1.

See my comments above re: "spotlight". As far as battery life, YMMV based on how much activity there is that you point the cameras to.

Tempting, if only it would allow me to connect the local storage to my NAS (running FreeNAS atm) then I'd jump on it. Hmmmm....

Believe you can hook it up to NAS. I have 2 hooked up to Synology RTSP at the moment testing motion capture vs continous recording. FYI recording only 1080 on Synology even though this is 2k

Yes.. Extra storage since your other storage saves your doorbell videos

Only difference listed eufy's descriptions between 2 pro and 2c pro is battery life.

I bought the 2 pros from BB last month and havent had any issues with night motion. I get notifications at night for people and occasionally the neighborhood cat.

When saving to my Synology NAS, the 2 pros are cut to 1080 as well so I turned that off. And the doorbell doesnt support rtsp. Those are my only complaints so far.

Any idea if these will still record with power outage or internet outage or both?

Thanks

I just think it's a quality issue. While you do get to draw your zone; I find they have established that parameter
to best match their quality.

It depends on how much it's in use of course but in the event you are actively "watching" it live you will for sure drain.

It will continue to record even if your home internet and/or wifi router goes down since the cameras themselves do not directly connect to your home wifi network...they connect to the Homebase 2.

As far as power outage...it will only continue to record if you connect the Homebase to a UPS. It will obviously stop recording if you run out of power on the UPS.
