S & B Golden Curry Sauce Mix, Medium Hot

'Golden Curry' is made with S & B original curry powder and features rich aroma of spices and herbs. A block of Golden Curry Sauce Mix consisting of curry powder, flour, spices and seasoning could quickly transform mundane stew into fine curry simply by adding them to the mixture. Well-balanced mellowness and spiciness for most people. S & B Golden Curry Sauce Mix contains no meat or meat derived ingredients.

Enjoy with rice, bread, noodles, and buns, etc. Using it as a sauce for potatoes or meat dishes, or as a dipping sauce for steamed vegetables is another way to enjoy.

Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Vegetable Oils (Palm Oil, Rapeseed Oil), Salt, Sugar, Curry Powder, Monosodium Glutamate, Caramel Color, Spices (Pepper, Chili Pepper, Garlic, Celery Seed, Mustard), Malic Acid, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate

Literally had this for lunch today. It mixes very well with white rice. It's great.

Extra hot is the only flavor worth eating.

Be aware this contains palm oil as a main ingredient, the harvest of which usually involves bulldozing the rainforest

Excuse my ignorance but could this be done with a crock pot too? My understanding is they aren't the same thing.

Can't believe some people still think MSG is some kind of poison. Japanese use that all day long and we are the longest living people in the world.

Also, please use slightly less water when making curry. It becomes less waterly and much richer. Japanese use milk, bulldog sauce, chocolate, grated apple, soy sauce,
instant coffee etc as secret recipes. We use grated apple. We always make it the night before. Much more tasteful the next day due to some kind of chemical reaction that happens overnight.

I'll second this. It is really really good.

Can confirm. My eyes hated me for cutting 6523 onions, but the results were really good.

You don't have to cut them down much really, the cooking does the work on the onions.

This stuff makes great Japanese beef curry in an instant pot.

https://thisoldgal.com/pressure-cooker-japanese-beef-curry/

I leave out the mushrooms. Use a full box of the curry. I also have used applesauce instead of a graded apple. No need to use honey

If you're worried about trans fat, you should check the nutritional label (5g fat per serving, 3g of which is saturated, zero trans fat).

On a side note, doesn't seem like that great a price. I usually find the bigger packs for about the same price at most asian groceries in my area. And Java>{Torokeru,Kokumaro,Vermont}>Golden
Actually, Trans fats doesn't have to be listed up to 0.5g on a label and anytime oils are hydrogenated trans fats are created. No amount of trans fat is acceptable as it is linked to cardiovascular disease.
