You need to go to H1 or H2 windows update as well, or whatever it's called. Probably an optional windows update.
Believe me I tried. I updated everything. Uninstalled and reinstalled. I read forums and tried just about everything I could find. It's a wide spread issue. Just read the other comments here.
How well does the wireless connection with pc works on this? Any connection drop issues?
I had a lot of connection issues with my shock blue controller on pc. It would disconnect while playing games and would not reconnect unless I turn it off and back on. Just exchanged for another one yesterday, did not have a chance to fully test.
What the heck. I didn't buy the Xbox One controller because everyone said the Dpad and usb-c were better on these new controllers. Now you guys are all saying don't buy this one because it's too small and disconnects randomly.
People with bigger hands, i recommend staying away from these and sticking with Xbox one controllers. The size reduction is minimal but in all the wrong places.
The size of the OG xbox controllers were perfect imo

I have larger hands and haven't noticed much difference at all. My gf with smaller hands does prefer the new shape though. Seems like a good compromise they made. The raised d-pad is nice as well, feels more solid and premium.
The texture on the grips and triggers is nice, better than the latest generation xb1 controllers. It's not rubberized as someone mentioned, but that's only found on the $150 elite controllers. For $40-50 the build quality is great, no issues for me and the share button rocks. Click once for screenshot, and hold for the last 30 seconds video clip.
These also have USB-C ports, so they can be charged/played with that way with a battery pack.
Overall great improvements in construction IMO. This coming from someone who has 6 xb1 controllers bought over the years. Microsoft tweaked the design on them 3 times for the One, not including the two elite controllers. If you're patient I'm sure within a year there will be some new colors/designs and maybe tweaks. Also Xbox design labs for customs, but those are always overpriced.
Bought one of these when it was on sale for my msi gaming laptop. Our OG xb1 controllers have died so was hoping these last longer. That said, out of the box bluetooth connectivity was horrible. After updating the firmware (need to plug it in to do this) and updating windows 10 with the optional update it's been rock solid.
Two little things i picked up when compared to the old contollers:
1. The plastic feels cheaper than the old ones. The grip feels like a downgrade compared to a white xb1 controller we bought a few years back. This is minor tho and doesn't detract from how it plays.
2. It is quieter than the old ones, especially the RB/LB buttons.
I haven't noticed a significant size difference. I have medium mitts and it feels fine. My.02
That was for the original version controller, these are the new ones. Not sure what the difference is besides a button in the middle for Series S and Series X.
I just ordered the blue one for my bro on Tue, it came yesterday, now it's $10 less today, ugh! Chatting with Best Buy right now to see if I can get a price adjustment.
**Update, using the chat system they credited me back $10.71.**

Even those with medium to small hands, its noticeable even for me. Totally fine, but now I know what its like to be taller.
