I just paid 25$ in gift card and rest through red card and it showed me promotional gift card.
Only thing with gift card is that your 5% red card savings will decrease to whatever amount you are having on card and that discount will not factored for gift cards.
That doesn't even take into account the registry diaper discount from Amazon.
I wouldn't be lured by this gift card unless your diaper needs are urgent.

We typically buy a variety in these deals to account for the variance on sizing and growth. There is no perfect answer, so do what you're comfortable with. This is a good deal as it's better than most others target offers through the year (20, sometimes 25, rarely 30 gift card).
Also, another common theme here is that Amazon has better prices, while true, if you have target gift cards already, this deal is better (which is why I'm purchasing now). YMMV on how good a deal this is.
