Just came across this as I was browsing Makita products on Amazon, so not sure if this is everyday price. But HD had it listed for $290 and browsing seems to be $200+ everywhere else. Been wanting a high torque impact gun for a while, and this looks like a steal for the spec. Was looking at one 4-5 years ago that was spec'd at 335ft-lb torque, but couldn't pull the trigger for the price(too long can't remember, but definitely wasnt this cheap, at least when I was looking), but already ordered this one at this price.

I was just thinking about rotating my tires on the way to work and this deal alert popped up as soon as I sat down at my desk. I feel like I'm microchipped now lol.
Thanks OP, went ahead and did my first buy now think later purchase on the $30/month payment option. I'm already in the platform for home owner stuff, but I've only recently decided I was going to start learning how to fix up my car properly. Is this thing completely overkill for my casualness?

Very nice deal. I bought the XWT11SR1 a while back thinking it would be enough. Was trying to replace the struts on my car and it just wouldn't budge. Been wanting the better/larger version for some time, but couldn't justify the price for how little I use it... but 149 is awesome. Thanks!

It is overkill for most standard automotive stuff (not heavy machinery), but at this price I couldn't pass it up.

I already have the Makita XWT15Z and it has amazing power for the size. That smaller one is perfect for lug nuts and most home automotive stuff, and the one I'd recommend for most home users.

How is this compared to the Milwaukee M18 2767-20?

What a steal. I got one of these used with a 4a battery for $180 and thought I had a great deal but this is way better. Love mine, but it is pretty big and heavy so only whip it out for the jobs that need the torque.

Any of the 2ah+ batteries will be fine for lug nuts. If you're doing much more than that I'd get at least a 4ah battery.

I would buy this immediately if you are in the makita 18v system at all! I just bought this recently for over 200 since the price hadn't gone down in a while.

probably a 2ah would be fine. It doesn't use much power really since its so strong you don't have to impact for long before the lugs breaks loose.

Its not really overkill IMO. If you ever need to loosen a crank bolt or even axle nut or even some exhaust bolts that are rusted on, you'll be glad you have this. The main issue with this impact is that its HUGE so unless its an easily accessible bolt, you won't be able to use it but for lug nuts I prefer this to my mid torque because it doesnt impact as much which makes it quieter.

Been looking for an impact for a while, in for one. I have never seen a price this low! Unfortunately I only have 3 amp hour batteries, hopefully it will still work well enough.
