Just came across this as I was browsing Makita products on Amazon, so not sure if this is everyday price. But HD had it listed for $290 and browsing seems to be $200+ everywhere else. Been wanting a high torque impact gun for a while, and this looks like a steal for the spec. Was looking at one 4-5 years ago that was spec'd at 335ft-lb torque, but couldn't pull the trigger for the price(too long can't remember, but definitely wasnt this cheap, at least when I was looking), but already ordered this one at this price.

I was thinking this XWT04S1 kit was a decent deal at $129

Went with your Amazon link instead, I got plenty of batteries and this seems like a better built unit.
Honestly, mechanics aside, most people are going to find this impact wrench to be overkill, especially for basic homeowner use and would probably be better served with the XWT04S1 kit.
Feeling kind of fortunate that as a carpenter I don't have to lug either of those around all day. They're essentially as big/heavy as my framing nailer
I have one for a few years now. It is really bulky and heavy and most of the usage is taking lug nuts off and on. I've done lower control arms in an MDX. CRV, brakes, struts, etc. This bulky has limit use for those kinds of repair. The best overall tool would be the M12 Stubby. This price is cheap. Get one if you don't have one.
This is for sure a great deal, but would not be my only torque impact for working on passenger vehicles. It's just too bulky for most things.

I just used this exact tool to change over to winter tires on a SUV and minivan without any problems loosening the lug nuts.
This thing is built like a tank so it is not light.
I doubted that any battery powered tool could keep up with my pro-grade air equipment. First time using it I broke the same sockets I've used with my air impact for years and it did the job more quickly.
It doesn't seem battery usage intense, but I haven't used it for more than ~40 bolts/nuts at a time.
