There is a more affordable variant of the Tesla Model Y available. Now starts at $39,990 ($2k price cut) for a RWD 244 mile version. Those in CA will get $1500 additional off at time of purchase bringing it to $38,490 from Clean Fuel Reward (no income limits).. Some may also be eligible for the $2000 CVRP rebate but there are income limits. For those out of CA your state may also have additional incentives, I believe NJ had $5000 off (expired for now but may return) and you aren't charged tax on an ev making it an even better deal. The 7 seat config has been released as a $3000 option.

It depends on your opinion of Tesla. This is an opportunity to pre-order early if you're in the market for a new car and really desire a highly capable electric vehicle, but don't need the range or AWD.

No, its not a deal but an announcement for a more affordable version of a popular car.

That is not a question. Just a crappy half truth.

On what data do you place this lack of doubt?

Because as I mention, when Car and Driver actually measured panel gaps, Teslas were among the best in the industry.

Funny enough- the specific Civic in question (the 10th gen Type R) actually costs about the same as the SR+ Model 3 or SR Model Y.

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1...-gaps.html

That's a Porsche owner complaining about inconsistent/bad panel gaps on his new car (that cost a lot more than $70,000).

Replies from at least a couple of other owners all agreeing they have similar issues.

As one poster there notes- most people don't even look at this stuff or notice it- but it's there on every brand if you look for it. Tesla just tends to get looked at a lot closer and mentioned a lot more often.
Are we only talking about panel gaps? What I am understating from ur reply is this Tesla car has about same issues (not just panel gaps) than any other in the same price range🤷🏼 ♂️

Gaps seemed to be the biggest issue mentioned, so I pointed out what data we do have on that suggests Teslas is better than average in the industry.

As to other issues- which specifically are you thinking of that you believe are worse for Tesla than most other brands?

I can't really think of any examples where I can't find a litany of complaints from many other brands on anything.

Paint for example?

https://www.reddit.com/r/AutoDeta..._the_best/

Slew of people lamenting the poor paint quality on everything from Hondas to Porsches for example.

Here's a thread about Toyota and Lexus vehicles getting a free extended paint warranty because owners were having it start peeling off almost within a year of purchase-
https://www.torquenews.com/1083/t...tails-here

Threads on BMW paint defects-
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums...?t=1503563

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums...?t=1565594

Thread about a Mercedes paint problem currently under 2 class action lawsuits
https://mbworld.org/forums/genera...oblem.html

The idea there's mythical perfect build quality on every car off the line from anybody just ain't so.

If Tesla had significant widespread quality issues other brands do not they probably wouldn't rate #1 in owner satisfaction among all car brands from multiple sources and surveys.

the minimalist design lets the interior fade away and the overall greenhouse lets you feel connected with whats outside your car more easily.
Fortunately I was wearing my Italian Captoe Oxfords. Sophisticated yet different; nothing to make a huge fuss about. Rich dark brown calfskin leather. Matching leather vent. Men's whole and half sizes 7 through 13. Price $135.00.

i prefer driving loafers, wearing oxfords looks a little too try hard (cap toe especially, probably the most basic thing to wear to a wedding nowadays. DSW has them by the truckload for like $40 for a reason.) probably what some dude in a CLA250 would have on as he gets out of his car with purple LEDs shining off every single surface lol

"The floors" theory is this electricking car was rigged and stolen... This car will eventually fade like the prius and the earth is flat.

Stop dropping hard data and facts!!!

I want in on the stocks so hopefully a few negative REVIEWS that are FACTually TRULLY emotionally opinionated will help bring the price down.

True, even though the credit mainly benefits people with above average income.. i think this requires congress approval and they want to ram through a few other items before this...

The Ys made in china are sold in China (the 3s made there are sold in China and Europe), the ones made in CA are sold in the US (additional Y production in Texas expected later this year- and some CA made 3s still go overseas as well).

Pricing in each country is based on local currency and varies due to different tariffs, taxes, credits, exchange rates, etc.

Tesla is a scam. They offered 69420 model of S now they threat to either cancel previous order or give 2k discount on the 79990. Scam company.

Why would you not want the totally redesigned interior for a little more? I wouldn't consider it a scam unless they won't refund your deposit.

I am sure there is some kind of a clause in your purchase contract that Tesla reserve the right to cancel the order at any time. As long as you get the deposit money back, it is not considered as a scan legally.

Now, let's look at it this in another way. You are offered $2K discount on the newer model (yes, it is more expensive). Since you don't like the new design. You may be able to sell your spot of the car with the $2K discount to someone else and make a profit. My previous knowledge is that the spot is transferrable. And you can prob find a very decent used Model S. Will this work for you?
