The 1" soft dome tweeter provides smooth, refined high frequencies, with three 5" aluminized polyfiber woofers for balanced, cinematic low end.
The integrated WaveGuide focuses the high frequency sound for dynamic, true-to-life reproduction, while the front-firing tube port allows for better low frequency extension with placement flexibility.

Front firing tube port improves low frequency extension while maximizing placement options.
Fully magnetic grille for premium look and feel with wood accents that give a handcrafted, natural aesthetic.
Does that balance with this system or is that just a top quality sub in general?
I was thinking ~$150-250 range would be closer in line with $ of this deal.
SVS PB1000 will work fine with this system. That's what I'm planning on doing. Great sub. Better to buy it now and keep it then get something worse and want to upgrade later.

Dayton Audio is the cheapest you'll want to go https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-sub-1000-10-100-watt-powered-subwoofer--300-628
Is there any package deals with the s803 instead of the s801s?
Also, do these speakers punch above their price point... or are they just good for the price? They are always heavily discounted, so it makes me think they were overpriced to begin with and maybe they are priced appropriately now.
I can't spend a fortune, but I wanted to upgrade from my 2008 onkyo hts9100thx htib. I'm sure the towers are a upgrade, but the rest seem like a lateral move.

Doesn't look like there has been one recently if at all. You could always buy a pair later, looks like they were around $125 a a pair.
Whether they "punch above their price" or "just good for the price" will depend on who you ask.
You could ask that about many speakers that pop up in here all the time.
Take the Infinity or JBL that get heavily discounted, same holds true to those also.
As pointed out before these were voted Best Buy home theater system by EISA for 2018-2019.

Any recommendation for a sub and receiver?
Dayton Sub-1200 is a great sub for under $200. I'd suggest a Yamaha receiver but maybe not their brand new line that just came out. See if you can get a recent model clearance on a 7.2 receiver in case you want to add Atmos ceiling speakers later on.
I recently ordered from adorama and the box for tall speakers came in damaged and they forgot to send me screws. I tried to find something similar at Home Depot and Lowe's but it's hard to find screw.
Customer service is not great. It's been more than 3 days still no idea of when they will send me screws.

Great advice! I bought something worse that had a worse return policy and and am living sub-regrets!
that is because this is an advertisement posted by a SD editor. the vendor is an advertiser on this site and SD gets a kickback on each sale Beware of the SD bias on these types of posts.
That very well may be the case. But it doesn't discredit how good these speakers are or how good of a deal this is. IMO - this is a great deal for one of the best "budget" level speakers on the market... Advertisement or not.

You are completely correct!
He uses that fake post to discredit Jamo/Klipsch all the time and misleads people
He will tell you he does this for a living, one thing I know is most people that do, work with certain brands.
When someone ask for advice he asked them to PM him and he will help.
If Jamo/Klipsch are competitors of his, that argument sure does make sense 🤔

My tall speakers also arrive damaged. My screws were taped to the middle of the styrofoam on the bottom. Wish I received store credit instead of having to return and wait for a new pair.

each pair costs like $200+
more than the 807 towers themselves sometimes!
