Why couldn't they just use USB-C connector? Would simplify things for sure like having to carry that wide connector cable.

The 960GB is $100 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/ADATA-SD60...G77XJ?th=1), which to me is better value. Although this is a good price for the 480GB, several reviewers state that writing speeds can be seriously affected by thermal throttling.

This is terrible. Read the reviews. I purchased one for my wife and it was extreamly slow on all usb speeds and it got hot quick. Replaced it and same thing happened again. Do not buy this garbage from this company. Instead, buy a cheap 240gb ssd and a $7 enclosure. Cheaper, faster and more reliable!

THIS ^^^^

Choose whatever size SSD you want. You could also buy a SSD to USB cable adapter if you don't want to mount the SSD in a case. Either way, this is a very reliable and flexible solution.
