I have this in my Tesla for video recording. Was fine at first, but I get a lot of occurrences where some recordings don't play due to corruption. Have had to format at least 6 times within the past year because it wouldn't write. Wish I would've paid the extra money and gotten the Samsung external ssd that was highly recommended. So if you're looking for something that will do a lot of writing, this may not be for you.
This is terrible. Read the reviews. I purchased one for my wife and it was extreamly slow on all usb speeds and it got hot quick. Replaced it and same thing happened again. Do not buy this garbage from this company. Instead, buy a cheap 240gb ssd and a $7 enclosure. Cheaper, faster and more reliable!
This deal is 480gb... Much more storage than 240gb....
Anyways, buying a bare 480gb ssd cost just as much.. this is good for a durability drive
Is this a good option for additional storage for the Nvidia Shield Pro?
I know this is an old thread, but I bought one of these ADATA external SSDs for my Shield TV Pro 2019. The thermal throttling has become a real issue. I use my Shield to record TV shows in Plex, and it throttles down so much that I can only record 1 TV show at a time. Two or more shows, and they're full of pixelation and skips.
I ran a Disk Speed Test app, and it says I'm only getting 20-30 MB/s from this drive on my Shield TV Pro 2019. That's a fraction of the speed of the slowest spinning disk drives.

It's not that much more for a Sandisk extreme portable.
