Postage from USPS... get it before rates go up!

Postage is going up on Jan 24th but not everything goes up the same percent.

Forevers are NOT going up, so if you only use forevers for letters and got plenty or you print postage and won't ever use stamps, move along, this is not a deal you'd be interested in.

Priority, express, parcels and post cards are all going up.

Second ounce is currently 15 cents and is going up to 20 cents (33%).

The post office sells a "forever" additional ounce stamp which currently is selling for 15 cents each but starting on Jan 24th will be worth 20 cents each.

You can use three of these stamps (currently 15 cents x 3 = 45 cents) starting on Jan 24 and it will cover a first class letter (5 cents over actually).

You can also use these on other mail (ie. priority mail, etc) as long as it adds up to current postage. Flat rate envelopes are going up from 7.75 to 7.95. If you don't mind putting lots of stamps on your envelope, 40 of these (2 panes of 20 stamps) will cost you $6 and will be enough for your flat rate envelope on the 24th. (or u could use 37 of these and a forever if that extra nickel is bugging u).

If you put postage stamps on priority mail, you'll have to go to the post office window with your package. U cannot just put it in the mail like a printed label.

The post office charges no sales tax. I know the usps store on ebay (run by the post office) was charging sales tax, but when I put the stamps in my cart, it looked like they were not going to charge me sales tax, so maybe ebay fixed that. Both usps.com and the usps ebay store charge $1.30 shipping (no matter how much u buy) or u can get them at the post office, no shipping. (I got 100 panes at the post office today but ymmv on how much they have in stock).

If you buy them on ebay, you'll get ebay bucks. If you can find a deal on ebay gcs (safeway usually has rewards back for gift cards), you can get a little bit more out of the deal.

The coil roll is not on ebay so you'd have to get it at the post office or usps.com

https://store.usps.com/store/prod...t-S_746904

These are LEGIT stamps from USPS.com, post office or usps store that is on ebay.

The deal is buy them at the current rate, use them when the rate for second ounce goes up 33%. They will be worth 20 cents each no matter how u use them.

Well, I guess you can in principle. But UPS Ground is probably the best option for shipping.

It could, but as the post above says, if you blast on tons of stamps to ship a package, you'll have to wait in line and hand it to them to process...most likely if you have the capability to weigh your own package and know how much postage to put on it - you arent going to want to put on a ton of stamps to wait in line...so I wouldn't worry about it. That, and ebay gives a discount for its shipping anyway (assuming you sold it through eBay) - so that would be another option.

People bashing the USPS - I had to mail packages to Australia twice. The first time I assumed I should UPS or the like, and went to the UPS store, where I was told it would be $250, tracked. I was then given the option of leaving it with them, and having the option of using USPS international shipping for $99, with tracking (though I was warned the tracking could be spotty). Naturally I used the USPS option. The second time I had a slightly smaller box, and decided this time to go to the PO directly to ship it, and I was charged $33. Both packages arrived safely, btw.
I used to mail stuff internationally with first class international, but that option is no longer available. Anyone know for sure that option is gone? I wasn't able to get a quote online for that option.

Some states have online registrations. Check if yours does. Rarely find myself using stamps - so I buy them as needed.

Although, I collect stamps and do buy for my collection.

I don't use many stamps, but I like buying the themed or decoratives stamps from the usps.com site. I also get their paper catalog. Currently, I'm using The Snowy Day stamps and some kind of stamps celebrating magic.

Use pirate ship. com. It's fast and easy online shipping that is easier to navigate than the usps website. I was recently made aware of it.

Not sure when this was. I used to love the USPS as I mail a lot of packages and they for the most part got there on time but as someone else said, it has gone steadily downhill in 2020. Some blame can be had on the pandemic, but I started noticing long delays, lost/missing packages, and false updates starting mid year, right around the time DeJoy took charge. This is a good deal, but if you need to mail a package in the near future be cautious or give yourself extra time with USPS.

I use it quite often, and while I had a few delays over the holidays themselves, ai really haven't had any issues - definitely not any more than other delivery services. To be honest, I really only cringe and have major issues when someone ships to me with Fedex.
