Graco Magnum 257025 Project Painter Plus Paint Sprayer is less than $200 today on Amazon.

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...UTF8&psc=1

I've been watching this sprayer for several months, and this is the lowest I've seen it (normally above $230). This model is below the X5 and X7 that I feel are likely overkill for my needs. I'm going to use it for some kitchen cabinet doors I've been making, along with the RAC X guard and 310 low pressure tip (not included).

PS: This is my first post, sorry if I messed up anything!

Can anyone compare this to the X5? Amazon has had that for ~$271 for a while now and Home Depot sells it with the extension for $280 somewhat frequently. Wondering if it's worth it for a regular home-owner with occasional projects like small cabinets, wainscoting, and similar.
Not speaking from any personal experience with these products, but purely from their descriptions, the two standout differences are that the X5 is rated for use with 75' paint hoses vs 50', and the rated annual use volume is a lot higher at 125 gallons vs 50 on this model. So seems like it's built for extensive use.

Bought one. Now waiting for a deal for a house. Can't afford a place in this market.
it sure IS a weird market - my house is worth 100k more than it should be - but i can't sell it because the houses i would buy are even more overvalued

Is this overkill for painting 3 kitchen cabinets? Probably wouldn't use much after..Unless it holds resale
Will provide a great finish with spraying vs brushing cabinets. You could prob re-sell it for same price after you're done.

Can you sprat straight from the can or does the paint need to be diluted first?

Would speed up the process vs brushing/rolling

While I agree, could be a couple years for that to show up.

Worth the wait though

Lol, that won't turn out well for you.

We are under contract to build a house. In the past 6 months they have raised lumber input prices by 100k, and it's not a massive house. Ours is already worth 20% more than what we contracted for and they haven't even dug the hole.

I am sure places can cut some corners and give you bent/twisted crow lumber. But good luck with that.
Unfortunately... I agree with everything you said. I'm looking for acreage, and the selection have dried out. Even extended my radius and nothing.

How? Only thing that'll make it burst is total economic collapse. This isn't built on massive leverage that people can't afford.

Not with underwriting the way it is.
