Graco Magnum 257025 Project Painter Plus Paint Sprayer is less than $200 today on Amazon.

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...UTF8&psc=1

I've been watching this sprayer for several months, and this is the lowest I've seen it (normally above $230). This model is below the X5 and X7 that I feel are likely overkill for my needs. I'm going to use it for some kitchen cabinet doors I've been making, along with the RAC X guard and 310 low pressure tip (not included).

PS: This is my first post, sorry if I messed up anything!

Need some experts or experienced users input on whether this one can use the Blue Guard FF low pressure tip, maybe FF LP310 or FF LP 208? It seems like it should be but I don't know for sure. I plan to repaint a dining table and one or two drawers. TIA.
I have this graco painter and bought the blue guard and 310 FFLP to paint my kitchen cabinets and it worked great for the most part. Prep is the biggest pain. I kept the sprayer gun in a bucket of water to use for the next day waiting for things to dry and i never had a problem with keeping the paint in the machine. Using the including black tip to paint a room used a ton of paint and I couldn't see because there was a lot of paint in the air. I had a much easier time just rolling the walls instead.

I watched some videos on youtube and seems to be great sprayer. I have used HVLP sprayer multiple times and not the airless sprayers. Wondering if this sprayer has adjustable option on how much paint to release? Couldn't find this feature in the videos.. can someone who knows well on the sprayer comment on this?

Good to know FFLP works well on this. I only painted my exterior walls with this, and agree the prep work takes so much time and effort. what pressure did you set when you use that FFLP tips, approximately ?

Bought one. Now waiting for a deal for a house. Can't afford a place in this market.
Unless one is a cash buyer in a future market that is only going to drop in price if interest rates increase (people buy houses, even autos by what they can afford as a monthly payment), this housing market is only going to increase in cost from cheaper US dollars that are losing purchasing power at an alarming rate from printing $Trillions out of thin air. It is not just the national debt that is the real sleeper, look at the unfunded public debt numbers [usdebtclock.org].
==============
Off topic...

Anyone with a savings account that pays nothing, a defined pension plan, cash under their mattress, etc., they are now losing about 12% annual in purchasing power with the USD..... up from a history of about 8% annual. And that COLA for some pensions and SS does not remotely keep up.... 17 years of life left from retirement was the magic number to devalue those monies to a poverty rate of lifestyle that is constantly moving the goal post.

That leaves cash buyers today for distressed properties today that will not qualify for a housing loan... and that market is flooded as well with investors to 'fix up' for profit to the point it will pass a home inspection for a loan, or works as a rental with Section 8 setting the bar for the lowest rent payments available. But, there is merit to outbid them for a long term residence that once fixed up and low interest is still available, can convert the cash buy and repairs to a conventional home loan. One might suppose that starting a painting business on the side with this machine could pay for it and put some cash in one's pocket.

I've had a Graco X7 for many years and it's saved me a ton of money. Very easy to learn how to use. There are tons of YouTube videos. I've painted my rental house, my house, my deck, my church's fellowship hall and other church buildings and about to paint my shed. I've never had a problem. Just be sure to clean it throughly and that can be a bit messy and laborious but don't skimp on cleaning. I've never put oil paint or stain through it so water cleans it easily. I hook it up to the hose and clean it on both the prime and spray settings, and clean the gun by running water through it under pressure until it comes out crystal clear. After cleaning add Pump Armor to keep the water from rusting the insides and it should last you a long time.
A little money saver... I've been using a ProX19 since they came out years ago. Always store it with water in it, not the armor stuff. Never an issue. If stored in freezing temps, use the Armor liquid for sure.

You adjust the fan and output by buying and using different tips. Some tips require more or less pressure, which is adjusted on the machine itself.

If doing a project that is going to require multiple coats (hour or two between), do you have run the cleaning/prime job with water to clean the machine out, or is there a safe way to let it sit?

Depending on the size of house, the total cost of lumber is probably $10K max. You're getting worked over my man.
Lol. Are you kidding me?

There are thousands of houses being built in my area.

The 20% is not just lumber, but also just general pricing increases.

it sure IS a weird market - my house is worth 100k more than it should be - but i can't sell it because the houses i would buy are even more overvalued
The taxman loves inflated house values.

I am sooooo tempted to get this. I already have a Graco handheld sprayer (Truecoat 360 DS) and it works really well for smaller projects, but the last two things that I tried to do were a PITA with the handheld. The first one was the ceiling to my porch. Fortunately I tarped everything off, but even still the amount of aerosolized paint that wound up all over the tarp (and me) was insane. Then I tried to paint a wooden fence. It turned out great and was easy to do, other than constantly having to stop and refill the paint liner every 8-10 feet. If only I had bought something that can feed from a 5 gallon bucket it would have been so much cleaner and easier.

Thinking that this spring/summer I've got more big stuff to paint makes me really want to jump on this.

Good for fence if you get an appropriate tip for stain. Use a brush for brick.
