Per the post immediately above yours, the sale has been extended for all sizes until 2/28. The 65" is $1,949 at Costco and Best Buy (need to be a My Best Buy member [free] to see this price). Amazon has it for $1,996. You can get it through GT for $1849 inclusive of tax and shipping.
Is GT an authorized seller for warranty purposes?
They detail this in their FAQ. The retailers that participate must be authorized retailers for the products sold.

My TV through GT shipped via FedEx freight. I received a call on the day before scheduled delivery (Wednesday) to confirm someone would be available during the scheduled delivery window. The lady I spoke with offered me a 10-5 window but I told her I wasn't available from 10-12 and she basically told me SOL so I had to reschedule for two days later (Friday). Unfortunately we had a really bad snow storm on Thursday so they called me on Friday morning and told me they needed to reschedule again to the following Monday (3 days later). I asked for my delivery to come before noon. Come Monday, my TV wasn't delivered until like 330pm. Luckily I had rearranged my schedule that afternoon in anticipation that they wouldn't meet my request, so I was still home to take delivery. All in all it did not go as planned at all, but I blame that on FedEx. Of course, YMMV but thought I'd share my experience in case. I would just plan to be as flexible as you can...
Normally I shop at Costco. In fact bought my 65CX there in October. But, this was a significant savings and still get 7 year warranty as I used my Costco Card to purchase.
Are you able to share your receipt?
Looks like we have Video Only stores in CA as well - https://videoonly.com/electronics...f
Do I just go to the store, place the order and have it shipped to my house?
EDIT Tues Feb 16th, 2021
I called the local Video Only store
They first quoted me 2900
I said I saw this posted for 2860 including warranty, tax, and delivery. I was able to get the same price.
Set should arrive this Friday Feb 19th
Thank you @BeelzeBuck
That's what I'm afraid of. It sounds like you are at the will of whenever they want to ship it. Were you able to open and inspect the TV before the Fedex driver took off?
I probably could have, if I would've asked. The driver was nice enough to remove the tv from the pallet and help me carry it into my living room. It was securely attached and the box was pristine so I took a gamble and didn't bother asking them to stay so I could inspect it.

call and ask
I get notification on 2/16 that they're back. Place another offer of $2900 and it still hasn't been accepted. What gives?
