Home Depot brought back the free tool option with the purchase of the M18 Fuel Hammer Drill & Impact kit (2997-22). Best part about it is the free tool and kit come up as separate line items making it "hackable" as is often discussed here.

I ordered the combo with router, order history just shows 399.00. Doesn't breakdown the cost for combo and cost for router as listed by ops.
If I bring the router to the store for return will it automatically breakdown the cost of each item individually?

You have to add the kit and the router (tool only) into the cart separately.
You can cancel a store pickup online. Put both in cart order and after order is complete go back to orders and cancel one of the items.
The order will canceled about 7 days, but sometimes stores get backed up. Cancel options is not always there. As long as you didn't Pick up the item. It will cancel.

It's also helpful to shorten verbiage to describe a process. "Hackable" is a short way of saying "follow a process for a better price". Unfortunately "buy X and return a free Y for a prorated and great price" doesn't fit into a title very well.
If not "hack", what do you suggest the process be called in short form so that everyone understands?
