Wrong about power. So wrong. What makes 90% of a solid sounding sub is the enclosure.
Enclosure driven by 150w of continuous power gives you crap. If it were all about enclosure.. we'd all be buying prefab sub boxes from home depot

if its supposedly so much about enclosure.. why does one of the most premiere HT subwoofer companies pretty much just give away the schematics..

no.

But I have the 8" Klipsch and the 15" Klipsch reference series subs.
Just comparing the 8" to this Monoprice (which I also have) and it is tighter/more controlled.
I'm no expert, but my ears tell me it is more accurate.
No. You are wrong.

I have a Polk PSW10 paired with an entry level Yamaha receiver and the set of Jamos speakers that was front page last month. It's in a small space. Would this be a noticeable upgrade?

as I mentioned in another post, I have this Monoprice sub and am very happy with it for what I wanted it for, bass fill in my audio only system.
I have 8" and 15" Klipsch reference series subs in my surround sound system. when I lived in a condo, I only had the 8". The 8" is now basically used to shake the couch a little as it is pressed up against it.
Regardless, the Monoprice (in my opinion and for my use) is great.
Mixing subs of make/models and especially sizes can be a real mess. In many situations one can better than 2, unless you're testing calibrating phases, tuning etc.. All depends on room size, placement etc..

This is not my graph.. but you get crazy stuff like this (image attachment).. sometime multiple subs start negating eachother out at various points. The line should really be straight and sloping down a tiny bit from left to right.

Got mine today. First impression was that the box sitting at my front door was huge. So far so good. I had to up the sub level on my 15-year old Onkyo receiver but once I got it dialed in, I was very impressed for the price I paid. Next up is finding a newish, used receiver.

Doubt much, get the klipsch or spend a bit more on a svs. Different price points but noticeable improvements.

Got mine a couple days ago. This thing is big. Visually it's a much nicer speaker than I was expecting to receive. Totally worth the sub-$100 price.

I don't doubt any of this. But this "sub" is a joke. Now...since I own and use two JBL 560p's that aren't a joke...I can easily state that they destroy this POS at less than double the cost despite being rarer than a Unicorn to find.

This POS Monoprice sub was not made to last with questionable parts and shotty CS.

I mean really dude!?!?!?
A 12inch sub with a 150watf amp?

Lol!
12" driver with a 150w amp *could* be fine if it were a ported enclosure around 4ft^3 with a driver designed to take advantage of that.

Reference, my Dayton Titanic mkiii 15" is powered by a lowly 370w rms rythmik audio plate amp. It just happens to be in an 8ft^3 box ported to 14hz...

Save your money towards a real sub. This and everything else close to this kind of budget is a fartbox

Why would home depot be selling audio enclosures?

I have 2 of these I'm not sure how they compare with 500 dollar speakers but these rumble and are clean give me everything I want. I highly recommend these speakers at this price point. Ps. Proper setup is everything

I have two of these in my theatre room as part of a 7.2 setup. They sound great. Certainly no $500+ sub, but great buy for the price.

Not a super huge fan of 12" subs. I like 10 or 18s better. 12s are often loud but don't get low or punchy.
