I currently use this exact brand and have been happy with taste/results. The tin is nice because it has a section where you can scrape your teaspoon to ensure you always get a level teaspoon of matcha. I've tried it both in a latte with almond milk, davinci sugar free vanilla syrup, cinnamon and some real vanilla extract as well as just adding a teaspoon to protein powder and water to give my protein drink a boost.

A while back I posted a very similar deal that was the same brand but came in a bag instead of this tin so if you liked that you'll like this one....and vice versa.

I just bought the Costco version online. It's $30 for 16oz. Is actually lighter compared to the ones I buy on Amazon.

I'm already at half the can cause I make lattes at work.

1lb of matcha for $15 is ridiculously cheap and there's a reason - this is low quality stuff.

If you want culinary matcha for smoothies, lattes, or whatever, at least get culinary matcha from Japan. Here's the one I use: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...UTF8&psc=1 (but I'm sure there are others)

For ceremonial grade, you can't go wrong with ippodo tea. Luckily, buying from them in the USA has become a lot easier over the last couple of years. https://ippodotea.com/collections/matcha

Just to prove I actually use and am happy with this matcha here's a pic of it and my milk frother. Using that with the protein powder and matcha makes it taste more like a milkshake.

I never claimed this was top shelf but I'm not going to pay $15 for 21 teaspoons (3.5 ounces) of matcha when this has 96 teaspoons for same price. Especially when it's being blended into other things. In the end the user will decide and if someone has used this before feel free to post how you liked it whether positive or negative.

I'm currently trying Matcha Love in my sugar free frappés. Flavor is a little weak, and it doesn't dissolve well, but it's ok for the price.

To each his/her own. Personally, I'd be hesitant to consume cheap products coming from China, especially if the goal is health benefits, but maybe that's me. IMO, there are some things that are absolutely worth paying more for - and this is one of them. Glad you're happy with this though.

Wasn't impressed with Matcha Love when I saw they wanted to charge $6 1/2 dollars for 1 5 ounce premixed matcha drink: https://smile.amazon.com/Matcha-T...0118ANAUM/

Due to some medications I take I get bloodwork roughly every 3 months so will be fairly obvious if it affects my health in any negative fashion (it's already helped with blood pressure) so consider me the canary in the coal mine...I would report back with any issue.

All the concerns about possible health issues did prompt me to do a google (well duckduckgo actually but saying "I did a duckduckgo" sounds like I had an accident in the bathroom) to see if I could find any reviews that specifically stated issues. I did find this one: https://www.matchaconnection.com/...ha-review/ but that's a review of the Ceremonial Grade "Premium Reserve" MatchDNA so not sure how close that's gonna be to their regular stuff.

The thing I try to keep in mind is when it boils down to it, this is powderized green tea leaves...just like with generic pickles....at the end of the day they are pickles in vinegar. There may be taste differences..some sweeter...some less but the benefits of all of them should be close to the same.

Chinese matcha is higher in heavy metals. Also ceremonial grade matcha is better than culinary in terms of health and flavor.
