This is a pretty good price for this knife. MSRP is $45, and it's currently $30 on BladeHQ and Knifecenter. Walmart has it for the same discounted price as Amazon also.

Not for me (currently shopping for an EDC flashlight to replace the one I lost, and I have 'too many' knives already, lol), but... Thumbs Up for a good deal on a knife. We don't have nearly enough flashlight/knife deals posted. Smilie

Based on 3C, this has been the most common price over the past 6 months, but also the lowest price it's been in the past 6 months.

Dromedaries say it's been bouncing off this price for a year or so. It's been a bit cheaper, but not for years.

Check out the NEBO Redline Flex. This is my primary EDC for the past 2 or 3 years, with my secondaries being a Nitecore TIKI on my keychain and a Nitecore TIKI GITD on my neck-knife lanyard.

I've lost a couple Redline Flex lights, and each time I have immediately bought a new one to replace it. I feel naked if I leave the house without it!

The knife steel is garbage and the handle is too small. Unless you are specifically looking for a neck knife(why?), skip it.

For a cheap fixed blade, you can pick up any number of Mora blades for the same or less. They are all substantially better with the possible exception of the Mora Basic. Do not bother with the Basic.

Too many knives?!
Smack

Nah, but really, I'm gonna pass on this one, too. I wouldn't mind a neck knife for some uses, and I like CRKT in general, but this is really cheap steel. This should be the normal price. It's just a cheap beater that you'll have to resharpen all the time.

Yeah this. It's small and doesn't look convenient for anything. For a cheap blade, look at then Moraknivs or Opinels. They are much better cutters for the cost.

I have an opinel 6 and a cheap stainless Mora and Carbon steel mora. They're all great knives for the money.

For an edc, I got on the Leek 1660 Woot deal. I like the seafoam green actually. This isn't worth it. Not for that steel or that form factor.

But if you know you want it, power to you. Deal on.

I carried a Leek for a few years. It was replaced by a Dividend in M390. That is a fantastic knife. It is in the EDC rotation.
Woot occasionally has some great deals on knives. A couple years ago I picked up a bunch of Mora Craftline for $4 each!

5Cr15MoV is very rust resistant and easy to sharpen. It doesn't hold an edge like super steels, but it isn't "garbage"

It does not hold an edge at all is more like it. If you like to sharpen your knife every day with a pull sharpener, then sure, go for it. Your not expecting very much from your tools though. Since you can get a much better knife for less money with much better steel, it is relatively speaking, garbage.

5Cr15MoV is a very unextraordinary, low-end Chinese stainless steel. Hardness is in the mid 50's, corrosion resistance is very good because of the high chromium plus molybdenum content, edge retention is poor, but it is easy to sharpen and rather tough. For $20 this is a not a steal but if you need a beater fixed blade knife, it could work.
