Lmaooo, shame on me for laughing. Are these good shoes?
My wife has had issues with shoes for a while. Bought some Altra based on shoe store recommendation. She says they are the best fitting/wearing shoe she has worn.

I looked this up and what I found was they run a little small. Was recommended order half a size up. Guess we will see since I ordered a pair.
Interesting. From the reviews Ive read, I read the opposite. I read the amazon reviews.

Shame on me for not knowing this, but do these run large, small, or true-to-size? Shame.
As shameful as it is, I went through two pairs last summer. They run a little small (I normally wear 12 but use 12.5 in Altra's).
They have a history of weak stitching/glue, and will last around 350-400 miles. The LP5 that just came out is meant to rectify that, but usually isn't too much of a problem, would be an issue if you use microspikes on your shoes that pull at the toe more)
Solid trail running shoes with great traction (though not as aggressive as Solomon's Speedcross)

Vapor gloves are my everyday/around town shoes, but the Lone Peak is my hiking/trail running shoe. I'm very minimalist and if I could go back again, I'd probably buy the Altra that's one notch less padded than these (name escapes me). But these are far from being too cushy on rocky terrain. A happy medium.

I just ordered these 2 weeks ago and received them last week. I've gone for a couple runs, I really like them. From my experience they run true-to-size.

Last time they were on sale I didn't buy them because this review mentions the high heel cup that causes blisters. Anyone having that problem?

Got a pair of the blue and yellow of these. Very nice walking around shoes. Typically wear a New Balance Wide, and these fit better.

I'm not having that issue, or the other overly tight mid foot issue either. But I think it's because I went a half size up planning for a warm sock on snow runs. Ended up fitting perfect (extra room in front for foot expansion and such). I also land mostly on front of foot, so my foot is sitting snug against the tongue, which may reduce my heel contact. These are heavier than the 3s I came from. I detest the sharp tongue in the torin4.5 and the forcing to mid foot strike to get any return spring. I had to fold the torin tongue back and tie it down. So when I put on the lone peaks later I was much happier with their fit. So far I haven't found serious issues with the lone peak that wasn't already to be expected (not the best slippery rock traction after a little wear for example)
