Go look at the 8qt gourmia at Walmart. It's basin is huge! I fill it with a family pack of wings. My old basket style, a smaller nuwave model, took 3 cooking sessions to compete the same amount. I bought the powerxl version of this shelf style air fryer because I thought the "shelves" were a great idea and it would hold all those wings at once . It was an utter failure. Without shuffling those hot, tiny shelves around a few times, the top wings were brown and the lower shelves wouldn't brown at all. And it was taking forever. It takes me 20-25 min to cook the wings in my basket style, but I was over 40 min on the shelf style! I thought I was doing something wrong and watched a video review on YouTube. Nope. This thing sucked. Be carful that your food doesn't slip off those tiny shelves as you shuffle them. Anyway, as I cooked the chicken, the wings' skin was popping/sizzling and little bits of oil/fat were all over the interior and door of the shelf style fryer. I spent a while cleaning it up and took it straight back to Walmart and bought the gourmia. Lol.
Does the food still stay crispy when you stack it in the basket? I always feel like I have to put it in one layer so only the area of the bottom of the basket is usable

I mainly use mine for wings. I pull out the basket every 10 min and give it a shake. We eat wings in our gourmia at least once a week.
I have the Gourmia 8qt from Walmart and the Innsky Air Fryer XL, 5.8 QT from Amazon. I am looking at this 1 and will be giving my kids 2 of the 3 and keeping 1 of them. Both the Gourmia and Innsky have their pros and cons, but looking at this 1 to eliminate the toaster oven because of space issues.
These shelf style air fryers can be a pain in the rear. You must put on oven mitts and shuffle the tiny shelves around as you cook to get evenly cooked food. With the basket style, you just open the drawer with your bare hand and shake the food around a bit. You will get food splatter on the fold down door and on the interior of walls of shelf style fryer. With the basket style, you just toss the drawer/basket in the sink or dishwasher. I find momentarily opening the drawer to check on cooking progress with the drawer style let's moisture escape, which actually helps with making food crispier.
I recommend the $50 8qt gourmia at Walmart when in stock.
Please link the 8qt gourmia here. I can't find it. Thanks
Prices on Air fryers jumped way up after X-mas. My 6qt Gourmia with removable basket failed this month.
Now it cost double to replace it and almost no one sells Air Fryers with the fully removable top basket.
The price on this Aria Air Fryer is a good deal. But you obviously misread my post.
I said to replace my Gourmia 6QT it is now going to cost double to replace. Reading is cool you know.
We just bought this one (early December) directly from Aria for $99 using chase freedom via paypal.
We like it so far as it heats up super quickly and is easy to clean (you can toss the racks in the dishwasher). Frozen fries in the rotating basket take about 25 minutes but make sure you coat it with some oil. Ours came with 2 racks and 1 drip tray that could be use as a rack as well (but no mesh). We've also made some Taiwanese pop corn chicken and that came out pretty good. Wings have come out crispy as well. Make sure you don't have loose flour as the fan on the top will blow it everywhere in the unit.
Downside is that each trays are kinda small - we can put about 8 wings each, maybe 10 at most. We would definitely buy it again as it could easily replace our toaster oven.
Just received mine via UPS. Will be replacing my dated Oster convection toaster oven (more than 5 yeas old) even though it is still running strong for simple toasting/heating small items/sandwiches.
Upon opening, it (AAO-890) appears that it comes with 3 mesh trays, rotisserie attachment for the chicken, rotating cage, handling device for the rotisserie/rotating cage, drip tray, and recipe book.
Overall, very excited with purchase considering that I was able to use the Amex offer to bring down the cost.
One personal tip regarding drip tray, i have always found it easier to put an aluminum foil over it to keep clean up simple and prolong the life of the tray.
* Quick question - Does anyone know how to shut off the beeps/sound of this fryer? it is extremely loud and annoying. i know it is considered a safety feature, but just want to understand if I can mute it during middle of the night usage.
