As a long time Adidas user I found these shoes run big compare to pairs in the past. Also, the tounge on this model is integrated to the shoe.
No matter how loose the laces are, I found almost impossible to get my feet in. Yes, you need a shoe horn.
In short, too small to get on, and too big once they're on.
Adidas, you can do better.
to help new comers (and myself, too, as i don't know all the ultraboost variations nor there horribly non-descriptive, non-intuitive names)...
ultraboost pb: lighter weight upper. uses the lightweight "celermesh" upper from the adizero line (see adizero pro and adizero adios pro shoes) instead of the standard ultraboost textile upper. suppose to be lighter weigth, but according to adidas.com the difference between ultraboost pb and ultraboost 20 is only 0.1-0.2 oz, ie 10.8 vs 10.9/11 (size 9).
ultraboost s&l: "suede and leather" accents. form over function... i mean, form and function.
ultraboost summer.rdy: more breathable upper. uses "monofilament" upper, instead of "textile", which is more breathable, better ventilated, and therefor cooler to wear in the summer.
ultraboost dna: i have yet to find an official description/explanation of what differentiates "dna" from regular/other ultraboost.
of course adidas mix and matches some of the above variations of ultraboost shoes, eg "ultraboost dna s&l" for "dna" (whatever that entails) with suede and leather accents.
