I'm just having trust issues with Android hardware developers like Samsung/LG/etc updating their devices. Like on Samsung I'll either get a security update that's three months late or they'll just skip months. I mean Android 11 didn't come out on my Note 20 Ultra until almost 4 months after it was released by Google (and the Ultra is one of Samsung's flagships). I haven't decided yet to try Apple as I've always had Android devices, but I've been thinking about it more recently.

I have a LG G8 sprint (using on T-Mobile) and it's currently on the dec. 1st, 2020 software update and I should be getting android 11 update as well.

Unbelievable, none of my LG phones got any updates at all and most of them suffered from oled burns after a year of usage. Never had that with a samsung!
