Is there a 12-Step group for Walmart clearance item seekers?

My name is Mad Pup and I am a Walmart Clearance Seeker. I see these deals and even though I don't want them I can't resist the thrill of the hunt. When my family asks me why I'm leaving the house, I daren't tell the the truth so I make up a lie like "I'm going to get some gas". Two hours later I return with an empty tank and empty handed. I'm wasting my time and abandoning my loved ones for long periods of time to go on fruitless quests for things I don't need, want, and don't even expect to find. Lord help me!

The first thing I did was cancel my Brickseek subscription. No more daily emails with empty promises of fulfillment and happiness. Next will be to block all SD posts with YMMV in the title and Walmart in the post. Other suggestions welcome.
This is great. My wife hates going to the supermarket with me bc I always drag her to the clearance aisle. She admitted that we do find some awesome stuff at 50% off though. For example, our soap saver pads in the shower.

Got about 2 dozen of these a handful of yrs ago during that bulk sale where you could get them as low as 2 and a quarter. They are fine for what they are, I wouldn't use them daily.

I call it chasing Walmart ghosts. If I tell my wife I am going to chase ghosts after work, she tells me if I need to grab anything while at Walmart.

I bought one of these last year for $5, it's no leatherman let me tell ya.

I may pick up another if they're down to $3, I think 5 is about right for them.

The case it comes with on the other hand feels pretty good quality, it's not flimsy and has a nice snap on it.

I have a few of these. They are pretty low quality, but they get the job done and nice to have lying around.

i have a few of these, very cheap and the metal easily bends. i don't recommend it.
If you're expecting high quality for $3, you might be in need of professional help.

That said, i bought a bunch of these years ago for a slightly higher price because I lose them every so often while on site and didn't want to spend the money in something good only to lose it. They do the basics okay, but it's really frustrating at times that they don't have any mechanism for locking the tools in place. I've adapted, however, and still use them just fine - albeit a bit more carefully than I'd like to have to. If your expectations are realistic, then these are certainly worth the investment of a measly $3.

Just bought 4 online for store p/u. Of course they are not great, but great ones are not $3 either. These are fine for occasional use to have at different places for convenience.

These feel worth about $3 MSRP, the spring in the pliers just fell out as soon as you open them and the handles are very sharp metal. The pliers and bottle opener are basically what this thing can handle
