My name is Mad Pup and I am a Walmart Clearance Seeker. I see these deals and even though I don't want them I can't resist the thrill of the hunt. When my family asks me why I'm leaving the house, I daren't tell the the truth so I make up a lie like "I'm going to get some gas". Two hours later I return with an empty tank and empty handed. I'm wasting my time and abandoning my loved ones for long periods of time to go on fruitless quests for things I don't need, want, and don't even expect to find. Lord help me!
The first thing I did was cancel my Brickseek subscription. No more daily emails with empty promises of fulfillment and happiness. Next will be to block all SD posts with YMMV in the title and Walmart in the post. Other suggestions welcome.

I may pick up another if they're down to $3, I think 5 is about right for them.
The case it comes with on the other hand feels pretty good quality, it's not flimsy and has a nice snap on it.

That said, i bought a bunch of these years ago for a slightly higher price because I lose them every so often while on site and didn't want to spend the money in something good only to lose it. They do the basics okay, but it's really frustrating at times that they don't have any mechanism for locking the tools in place. I've adapted, however, and still use them just fine - albeit a bit more carefully than I'd like to have to. If your expectations are realistic, then these are certainly worth the investment of a measly $3.
