Shilling? You mean I joined in 2004, posted 528 comments, 94 deals, got 550 rep points, all to promote an Anker pair of earbuds in 2021? or maybe there's another explanation, like me just trying to be informative by posting everything I got as information from the e-mail I got? Why smear when you don't know the facts and can check the plausibility of your comment fairly easily?
If you think bit rate impacts the quality of BASS you misunderstand how these codecs work, and what the impact of bit rate is. I'll not go into the details but you may want to read up on frequency response, digital sampling, audio compression, perceptual audio etc.

In short, yes, it will improve clarity (high frequencies will have more bits assigned to them) and possibly channel separation (this depends on the codec and the selections when encoded i.e. partial vs full channel separation when encoding). BUT, bass would not be impacted as bass requires VERY few bits out of the bit allocation to reproduce.
From what I found, looks like only some of the Anker Earbuds support aptX-LL (low latency) to avoid Video and Audio out of sync (delay) are Anker Soundcore Life P2, Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro True Wireless Earbuds.

https://www.amazon.com/Soundcore-...B07SJR6HL3 Anker Soundcore Life P2
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SKJNCXM/ Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E8BDS60/ Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro True Wireless Earbuds

If you don't care about latency when watching video or your streaming device doesn't support aptX, then probably doesn't matter.

No aptx support. For android users, it is something need to take into consideration, but not a deal breaker if they tune the sound well, I will wait for more "honest" reviews.

Usually latency is the issue - audio and video will be out of sync.

AptX also has a higher bit rate. IMO this improves the clarity and audio separation. Without it, the bass becomes muddy - even $200 Skullcandy headphones like Crushers2 are plagued by this.

So, above a certain price point (for me it is $80), it is better to have some version of AptX.

IMO, if noise cancelling is not a priority (in earbuds they make little sense), better to go with the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro, or even the Galaxy Buds+.

I have the Liberty 2 Pro and am VERY happy with them. When I was sampling earbuds I also tried the liberty air 2 (obviously they didn't have the pro version at the time) and they were also quite good but I preferred the performance and form factor of the Liberty 2 Pro. I may give these a try and see how the noise cancellation is.

I am trying to decide if I should try these out (Liberty Air 2 Pro) or the Liberty 2 Pro.....mainly for calls and watching videos

I would say wait for bluetooth 5.2/aptx adaptive supporting headset. That would be ideal for 2021. Currently we have Sound peats Sonic @ $40 but I am expecting more this year.
