Evga has my vote for Psu FWIW. I'm not a guru, but my pc has had an EVGA 850 non modular bronze and has worked everyday since July 2014.
Bought a used one on Amazon back in November. No issues with my rtx 3080 oc and ryzen 3900xt.

EVGA makes a good PSU, but non-modular = no way.

What do the PSU gurus have to say on this one, junk? Don't EVGA PSUs have a bit of coil wine under load?
I'm no guru but this seems like a steal for a decent sized name brand psu. It's not modular but other than that I don't see any real down sides. I can't speak to the coil wine.

I've had this exact power supply for over a year now, grabbed it in October 2019. I have had zero issues with it at all. It was used with my system when it was a ryzen 5 1600 and a rx 480, and is still being used after I upgraded to 32gb ram, ryzen 7 3700x and an rx 5600xt. The fact its non modular is kind of a bummer, but with my coolermaster NR 400, I was able to tuck and hid all cable out of sight with the PSU shroud. I think this is totally worth the price and it super reliable. My girlfriend has the 600w of this in hers, done a month after mine and her is working perfectly too.

Looks like tier B / mid range

Assuming this is a 2017 release.

EVGA doesn't make PSUs. They contract out to various OEMS.

So, you can't draw any conclusions based on experience with a different model.

Modular = Overrated. Easier cable management -- but I swear everyone must throw away extra cables they don't use. Everyday in our shop we get asked for cables for "XYZ" power supply. This is below my wholesale cost. There is a dealer "glut" of EVGA PSU. We were "forced" to purchase them at distribution to get allocated any EVGA graphics cards cards. This PSU is great for up to i9 and 3070.
