According to the photo on the Walgreens web page, each 6-pack has 273 sq ft. 5 of those would be 1,365 sq ft, and at $39.96, that's $0.029/sqft.

Based on costco.com, it says the Bounty 12 packs at Costco have 715 sqft, but there's no price. I had an old receipt for $23.99, and at that price, it's $0.034/sqft, so if you're sticking with Bounty, then the Walgreens price would be cheaper. Also, it looks like the Costco Bounty rolls are bigger (59.6 sqft per roll @ Costco vs 45.5 sqft @ Walgreens)

FWIW, Kirkland packs are 12 rolls for a total of 1026 sqft and is usually $16.99, so those are $0.016 per sqft.
Have you adjusted your kirkland numbers for their repackaging? "to make sure our customers can get paper towels" the size of the rolls dropped from 160 to 140 sheets per roll. This was today that I found paper towels there for the first time in 2.5months.

and, my closest store is one of the walgreens where 'less is more' and they white out about 20% of their shelf space with cardboard cutouts so they have space to sell *less*. Never seen a business not want to fill their shelves. But that is walgreens.

Walgreens refuses to accept my orders. They say my address does not exist because USPS does not deliver to my address.

Surprised no one has posted about the pickup coupons added to accounts two days ago.

I received 2 - $5 off a $20 pickup order, and 2 - $10 off a $30 pickup order.

Order 3 packs and 1 of the $2.49 crest toothpastes (that has a $2 coupon) to make up the 3 cent shortage below $30 ($9.99 x 3 = $29.97); total was $22 after tax and the $10 off coupon. Smoking deal!

Are you trying to do delivery or pickup? If you are trying to do pickup, just put an address they will accept.

thank you for the suggestion but pick up would cost me $100 in ferry fares and a day of traveling back and forth to the mainland — so probably not worth it even for prized items like paper towels 🙂
