LG is releasing their new C1 and G1 series OLED TVs soon, could be due to stores trying to clear their extra inventory. Assuming the new TVs are around the same price as the current CX/GX, we could see even better deals for the CX/GX series a few weeks/months down the line!
I'm tempted. Was waiting for CES announcements to see what's in store. From the looks of it, the C1 has the following changes -
1. New video processing chip
2. New remote
3. New OS
Personally for me - The new remote is useless since we use harmony remote in my household anyway. And with NVidia Shield hooked up, I doubt I'll be using the in-built apps anyway. So the question is whether it is worth waiting for the C1 just for the new video processing chip.
The CX seems to have minor issues with VRR. The latest firmware update made it dimmer with VRR and HDR on. Still some debate on whether that's a bug that'll be fixed. So wondering if the upgraded C1 chip will iron out those 1st gen HDMI 2.1 wrinkles.

Lg made a statement according to HDTVtest on YouTube. He's reputable also it's only on game mode and it's only peak brightness not overall luminosity

Back to clarify that actually lg already pushed the fix for this I don't think it's out in the us but it is in Australia so in a week or so we will have it . I saw some you tubers measured the fix and it's back up to regular brightness
I have been studying new tv deals for a while now. Sony seems to be better for movies and shows while lg is great for gaming. I had my eye on this one and the gx because the gx has the newer antenna technology. In long run, getting a hdmi 2.1 monitor when they are released and waiting till new line of oled, mini led and micro led come out.
purchased a Sony 77in OLED just prior to Christmas for $1600 delivered
this is not a good deal or great brand. Like putting Kia in middle of your living room lol

No "fart noise" this time? Man, you're losing your edge!
In all seriousness, I wish these would come down in price a bit. I sit pretty far from my TV, so I need something in the greater than 80" category otherwise I won't even notice the 4k resolution. I think something like the x900h is a good quality panel to bite on. However, as others have said, I might as well wait for price drops coming in the next few months post CES.
Wish this would fit in my living room. Just FYI for my fellow military folks, AAFES marked this down to $2999 today. Waiting for them to mark down the 65". Already have the 55" in my bedroom and I love it.
