There is no return window for receivers with Costco. Receivers are excluded in the 90-day return window that applies to other electronics.

If you bought it in person, they'll do it in the warehouse without blinking. If you bought online, Costco.com has a link where you can submit a price adjustment for anything bought within the past 30 days. That takes a bit longer (took mine 4 days), but it went through no problem.

Where is the rest of this flyer?
I only took the picture and put it down on the stack, don't like taking things I'm just going to throw away. There is a thread on the LG OLED's in the ad, there may be a link there.

I have the Yamaha, I really hate that it's an on screen menu only. Can't make major adjustments using the LCD on the unit. I have to turn the TV on and to the specific input

I have the older 7850. This is not reading to be much of an upgrade, correct?

How is this 7.1? the pic of the back shows 2 Sub outputs. Am I missing something?
2 outputs with the same mono signal, so basically like using a Y-splitter.

Correct, unless you need HDMI 2.1 features. New front face and display.

Its still unknown if there will be a firmware fix for the HDMI 2.1 issue AFAIK. Yamaha did say that it could fixed via firmware in their initial press release but when asked to confirm, they replied that they did not know what the form of the fix would be.

"We recently reported that new receivers from Denon, Marantz and Yamaha, which claim support for HDMI 2.1, actually have very limited support for this standard and cannot output images in 4K120 and 8K60. Yamaha has advised that it will address this issue.

The company representatives clarified that the issue will affect the RX-V6A, RX-V4A, TSR-700 and TSR-400 receivers. According to Yamaha, at the time of the announcement, the company promised that receivers will receive full support for modern video formats with software updates, and now the updates will also take into account recently identified problems.

Yamaha's decision seems strange, given that the problem of the chips used in the receivers is not in the software, but in the hardware part, and most likely it will not be possible to fix it with updates. After repeated inquiries, Yamaha representatives said that they could not yet say what exactly the solution to this problem would be, but promised that they would certainly solve it."

Returned mine from October today finally. Won't rebuy until all the bugs are worked out and the hardware swap actually happens. Until then yamaha gonna just continue to lie to you.

The chipset is fundamentally broken, it cannot be fixed via firmware. What's more likely to happen, they recall millions of units for boardswaps at a cost of 9 figures... Or they just sweep it under the rug and make a 2021 model.

I tried the new denon and yamaha (higher end than this) and sent them both back for various issues with either poor sound or awful menu/level adjustment restrictions but ultimately the known 4k/120 hardware issue in both. My Yamaha 1900 sounded better than both anyway. I'm running all video to my LG and sending optical out to my Yamaha and its the best solution by far. I lose a few sound modes, but I only have/want 5.1 anyway. Unless you are desperate for a new receiver, I'd highly recommend waiting until the new chipsets are out and the manufacturers have a plan. Denon won't even tell you what they will do for you once the chipsets are out... they wouldn't even promise me that it would be swapped/fixed for no cost nor could they tell me if they would ship a replacement ahead or if i would have to ship and wait. Imagine if its the latter? Thousands of people sending in their receivers and waiting for months with nothing.
Agreed, that's what's kept me from buying one. I'm ready but the receivers aren't
