New 2/9/21 CDC guidance on double masking! https://www.npr.org/sections/coro...ronavirus? And don't layer another mask on top of a KN95, either. That mask should be used alone, the CDC says.

Powecom masks are FDA Authorized by EUA for emergency use. More details can be found directly on the FDA website, Powecom is listed in Appendix A: Authorized Imported, Non-NIOSH Approved Respirators Manufactured in China [fda.gov].

Powecom masks were tested by NIOSH/NPPTL 10x with 10 masks in each batch, test results can be found here [cdc.gov] which shows that they have well over 95% efficiency. These were TESTED but not APPROVED by NIOSH as the approval process takes much longer and is more complicated.

Direct links to results from the CDC Website:
Note that many people may have difficulty achieving a proper fit with the ear loop design which is why NIOSH Approved N95 masks all have the head band design. Bonefide does offer the head band design [bonafidemasks.com] which likely fits better but the coupon code does not apply.

Aaron Collins [yahoo.com], a mechanical engineer with a master's thesis on aerosols, has done his own aerosol testing with Powecom earloop masks and he did get over 97% efficiency [google.com] with the mask on his face.

Indefinitely? No. I'm a teacher and I use one every 3 or 4 days, so I'd say they're good for 24 to 32 hours.
I will vouch for both the masks and the vendor.

It has been tested by CDC, here [cdc.gov]is the finding. TLDR:"The maximum and minimum filter efficiency was 94.87% and 93.19%, respectively. All ten respirators measured lessthan 95%"
https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/r...sults.html

If you look through the list of tests, every single Powecom listed shows higher (97%+ min) filtration. The "147.3" test results you linked to is in the "considered as counterfeit" list.

Whether these sold by Bonafide are legit or not I can't prove, but your link is referring to a counterfeit mask (which still filtered better than a lot of other "kn95" masks from china)

Does anyone have experience with this vendor or particular product? My wife is 4.5 months pregnant so I want her to start using something better than cloth mask when she goes out.
I bought N95 masks (3M 9210 NIOSH N95 which I ended up sending to my son, a ICU specialist during the shortage period) during pre-covid times but used one only few days after using other doctors masks since my outings are very few and for 10 or 15 minutes. There is a big difference between general doctor use official hospital grade masks (not to speak of the cloth masks) and these N95 surgical masks. If fitted properly, in and out goes through the filter and almost no bogging on my specs (which is another headache for those working in surgical settings). Go for FDA approved one based on the brand preference, comments you get from others. Pregnancy itself is a big burden (physically and emotionally) and now she has the added pandemic issues. Good luck.

The newer ones they send say manufactured by bonefidemasks.com, not made in China, if anyone really cares

I've gotten masks with either or. Same quality though

I unfortunately was first at the California epicenter, then flew to NYC right as they started their breakout... bad timing for sure. I'm a teacher with a science background (though I teach in another field now). I did a ton of research about masks at the start of all this.

Both this seller, and these masks are great. Possibly the best KN95 you can get. I bought a few other KN95s at the start of this. The only half decent ones were the Sunjoe supply aid ones...

Then I tried these, and I was done. They fit great on a variety of face shapes, they work well with my glasses (was a big issue with fogging etc with others) and pass multiple countries quality teat.

They actually have some small advantages over 3m n95s.... though I think on the whole 3m n95s are likely a bit safer. These ones are better for fit/leakage. Also... if you have to wear a 3m n95 all day your face is bruised, these are not going to do that.

I get that some of the comments here may be shills... I am a slick vet.. and now a days only post/comment on deals that are outstanding or I feel I need to.

Covid is spreading like mad and will continue until the vaccine catches up. Please do consider these to protect yourself, and by doing so help someone maybe not as healthy as you.

Also... this price is literally less than half I paid at the start. Ordered them twice now...

Just two final notes. I have a bigger face/head. The "over head strap" fits me amazingly. My partner has a smaller face, she's finds the earloop ones fit her best. I gave some as Xmas gifts to family that have to go out/work alot. They loved these and said they might be more comfortable than the cloth ones to wear with glasses.

Take that for what you will... and I hope all ya slickdealers stay safe, and help others do the same!
Thanks for the information.

Got 30 of these last time around.
For comparison, the ones I had been using before where the SupplyAID from SnowJoe.
Build/quality are about the same, the SupplyAid maybe a touch better, but with the Powercom 1/2 the price (or more) I'll take these.
I also got around the head, vs ear loop, and it definitely helps make a tighter seal.

I hate the Made in China printed and show very big in my face. I'm gonna pass.
The one I received for the headband don't have the "Made in China" printed on it. Like someone else said, the newer one don't have "Made in China" printed on it.

Same here. I expect them to be made in China since they are KN95, but why print it on the mask?
yeah, I hate made in china printed but well I won't care about it if the mask performs well xD

I received mine after almost 2 months. They did ship it earlier, usps delayed it. It looks legit and feels good.

I purchased from them and the quality of the masks seemed much better than the usual surgical masks (blue color). They shipped very quickly, however USPS delayed the shipment by weeks in my case.

Can u reuse this mask? It's costly if everytime we need to throw it away after one use.

Currently using 3 ply which is more cost effective, but this one is safer I guess
