I'd wait until these are updated with the 5 series processors as well. Right now you can only get the 5 series with the 3080 for $900! More

Yep pretty hefty price bump, is 5800H so much better than 4800H?

5800H should be better in terms of gaming performance and power consumption from yesterday announcement. the 3080 + 5800H upgrade is worth it if you have the cash. Otherwise I think 4800H + 3060 should be good enough. There aren't any reviews out yet for the 3080 vs the 3060 so jury is still up, but if it's the same difference between the desktop versions then it should be worth it.

Thanks! Question on battery life - Does 3080 + 5800H drain more battery while doing office work than 4800H + 3060?

I find it interesting that this comes with a 1440p panel. For the longest time, the vast majority of screens were either HD or 4k.

I just don't get how $1500+ laptops can't come with Pro. Also, that keyboard is hella crammed together.

I think the 5800H gives something like 17+hrs battery life, was looking it up yesterday. Obviously until the laptops come out and can be tested, anything can be said. I think it is worth waiting if that is even close to reality.

Yea they took forever to do this. 4k in 15in makes no sense whatever, and and unnecessarily use extra resources

3060 should take the place of 2060, pricewise.

There's a big push for all manufacturers to 1440p this year. I had 1440p on my old Alienware M13 R3 and it was glorious.

$1600 for a xx60 mobile gpu laptop seems overpriced. That's usually Razer Blade pricing.
