I snagged the caliper deal but reviews on this say multiple passes are needed due to bogging down under 1.5v power and should be worth around $10. Tool also seems too plasticy/flimsy for me. Good deal here, but for this I'd rather invest in a solid engraver.

Reading the reviews, this does not seem to be an engraver used on something that you care about. It's more of a scratcher, the reviewer stated. Unless you really have a purpose for this, I would say this is worth .50¢ – $1.

This is not 4.8 volts. The package shows it uses 2 AA batteries which would only be 3 volts max
